I ordered this auto part along with another. One part for drivers side door, the other for passenger side-both front doors. Both had failed at same time. The drivers door installed and worked perfectly, after receiving it within a couple days. The passenger part for some reason, took a week to arrive? When it did it was not in a Amazon package like the first part? it was in a black plastic, with the part in another clear bag inside it. This part also did not look like the first part received? I thought, still compatible? It was not the same part for a different door-it would not work after installed and didn't install perfectly. Contacted Amazon and they refunded for the second part!

As someone else stated these work on either drivers or passengers side. Took me 10 minutes to do both front doors. You'll need a 12 mm socket, ratchet wrench with extension, 10 mm socket for replacement. Removing door panels you'll need a tiny flathead screwdriver, a phillips head and a panel popping tool. You can access the door check without removing the whole door panel just rotate it. Can't believe I waited so long to change these on my girlfriends car! LOL

Fairly easy install. The bigger pain is removing the power window electrical clips. I opted to leave it attached while I reached in the door to remove the bad part. Word of Caution: DO NOT OVER TORQUE the two bolts on the door. I ended up breaking one of them. Still works find but anticipate changing it again in the near future. Rookie mistake on my part. That said, it props the door open and I don't have to kick the door out.
