Anti-lock Braking, ABS Systems allow the driver to maintain control of the car in an emergency braking situation. The ABS system relies on sensors to monitor the speed of the wheel and communicate with the ABS computer to ensure ideal performance. The data from the ABS sensor allows the computer to balance the speed of each wheel to prevent the brakes from locking up and avoiding dangerous skidding situations.
What does an ABS Sensor do?
The anti-lock braking system uses an ABS or wheel speed sensor to monitor the speed of the wheel, which
then sends this information to the ABS computer. In the event of an emergency stop, the ABS computer will
use this information to prevent the brakes from locking. If the wheel speeds are not equal, the computer will
regulate the anti-lock feature until the speeds are the same

I received this ABS wheel speed sensor yesterday. I had it installed today. Before installing the new sensor I had several dash trouble lights, Wiggle tire marks light, ABS, VSC, Tire low pressure light on the dashboard and the Cruise Control would not engage at all. None of the lights' problems, however, showed up on the OBDII analyzer. After installation of the new ABS Wheel Speed Sensor, all of the trouble lights disappeared and the Cruise Control returned to normal. That was a smart decision to install this sensor. Keeping my fingers crossed that the fix doesn't change.

I'm always sketched out by these no-brand Amazon listing, especially when it's a critical electronic unit like these ABS wheel speed sensors. I gave it a gamble because it was available next day and a fraction of the price from anywhere else. It arrived promptly in a basic sealed plastic bag with a label identified as being "Made in China" by the RUIAN YIZHENG AUTO PARTS CO LTD. We installed it on the RAV4, took it out for a test drive with our Snap-on scanner and it worked great. Definitely would recommend.
