How to Determine Whether the Door Lock Actuator is broken
1. Check whether the door lock can be unlocked and locked normally. If you find that you are unable to unlock or lock the doors using the remote control or interior buttons, then it is likely that there is a problem with the lock actuator.
2. Check to see if the door locks are making an unusual sound. If you find that the door locks make an unusual noise when unlocking or locking the doors using the remote control or interior buttons, then there is likely a problem with the door lock.
3. Check that the door locks open and close properly. If you find that you are unable to open or close the doors using the key or interior buttons, then it is likely that there is a problem with the lock actuator

Bought this for my 2008 Nissan Xterra S.It fits perfectly, but can hear it rattle and sobering the door will not open from both inside or outside. I have to stick the car key and manually open the handle so the door eill unlock. Im going to open it to see if i can adjust it. I will update if it works
