Got my car up on blocks only to find that the box contained the plate and nothing else. No screws or bolts or anything. So will be returning it.Got the replacement. Shipping was quick. Still no hardware to install it so still worthless.Going to return. Don’t really feel like the third time will be the charm at this point.

Fitment is great. Took about 5 minutes to install. Aluminum is better than steel due to corrosion resistance. It would be great if screws were included. I had couple of screws missing. Original screws were all loose. Maybe Tesla robots are not getting paid enough to tighten them 😕.

1st great product for the price. I would not want it any thicker unless I was routinely doing offroad stupid stuff with a luxury sedan (which I rarely do.) I replaced a torn early 2018 Model 3 felt skid plate (really Elon felt?) See pic 2 before pic. This rear skid plate perfectly fit my Model 3. I added the 4mm foil lined, adhesive sound deadening matt to the upper side before screwing it in. This was to reduce noise and vibration and possibly give more a more solid feel reducing possible harmonic vibration from the aluminum sheet. I needed less that 12 square feet to do this see pic 1 with left over matt from only 1 roll used of 2 rolls to make 24 sq. ft. The matt I got from amazon described below for pretty cheap. I got a 2 pack to use more matt elsewhere. Results: Best estimate with decibel meter on iphone? Approximately 2 db reduction maybe 70 at 70 mph to 68 on smooth freeway. Its is hard to get a real reading as it varies a lot. You might say not worth it. But I think some higher frequencies seemed to reduce more. Makes sense. Also it could be my imagination but the car feels slightly more solid going over rough road and potholes with a rubber lined slab of aluminum bolted to it. Again not scientific but makes sense. It was not hard to cut the matt with a razor knife and stick it to the metal. If you make a mistake you can carefully pull it back up if you do it quickly. I got the foil lined matt in part to delay corrosion from destroying the rubber over time as well as helping reflect noise. If you drive your tesla up on small car ramps you can do this yourself with about 2 inches clearance from the tip of my nose in the lowest part. The original screws are long enough to work with the 4mm foam. This shield kit comes with tons of extra hardware to screw it in including 2 clip on nuts for the wheel well felt core attachment points. But if your car has all original parts you do not need any extra parts as long as you do not lose any screws. They were all the same screws on mine (10mm socket head) hex head bolts with built in washer with tapered tip and black.I am very happy with the result! The description of the sound matt I got it below. Remember you need less than half this much and the foil is optional but will probably extend the life and may help with sound.___________________________________________________________________________________________Sound Deadening Mat, 157mil 4mm 24sqft Heat Insulation Pad Universal for Car Door Floor Self Adhesive Aluminum Foil Foam with Foil Tape and ToolFrom the VekAuto Store

Skid plate fit well, but it didn’t come with the nuts and bolts as shown in the description and photos.

We unboxed it and were able to install it fairly quickly. The metal is flexible so make sure that the corners were not bent in shipping and need bending back into place. Bending back into place was not hard but it would have been better if we had realized the corner was bent a little and fixed it before we were under the car. It looks like a good skid plate for a good price.

It’s a nice piece, but for is just OK. The part that butts up to the battery is a touch long in places but because the plate is aluminum it bends out of the way easily. I just used a rubber mallet to gently massage the plate to conform everywhere I wanted it to.

The front skid plate fits perfectly. Installation was very straightforward, utilizing the existing bolts. The package did include nuts and bolts, but didn’t need it. The plate is solid with a very nice painted or powder coated finish. The edges of the plate are smooth. Very well made.

Nice and fits perfectly. Would’ve given 5 stars if one of the corner was not bent on arrival. I had to straighten it myself.
