The fuel injector is a fuel delivery component that’s responsible for spraying gasoline or diesel into the combustion chambers. It’s simply a special valve designed to receive and deliver fuel to the cylinders.
A six-cylinder engine or a V6 has six injectors assigned per cylinder. They are installed suspending from a slim bar called the fuel rail which runs along the top or side of your engine block.

Started leaking into the intake within a week of installation, it worked well for about 5 days. Idle got extremely choppy and then failed to start all together. Found my fuel pressure fell off to zero psi almost immediately after priming the fuel pump. I opened the throttle body and had my wife turn the key to prime the pump and fuel sprayed out of the regulator into the intake. That was the whole reason to replace the old unit in the first place. You get what you pay for, save yourself hours and hours of trouble, buy a trusted brand. This spider injector is GARBAGE and a was of my time!

Bout three weeks In the car started to studder and random misfire. Replaced spark and basically ignition system. Worked better a couple days but was still. Put a pressure gauge on the fuel system and sure enough. Have a leak. The spider injector leaking.

I installed this into my GMC Safari after I noticed it having issues with the fuel pressure regulator, which for some reason chevy thought was a good idea to put all together into the spider injector. After the not so fun task of installing it and fighting to get the o-ring around the top of the injector to seat with the intake cover I immediately noticed a huge improvement in engine performance. The idle is a lot smoother, and it kicks right up every time now. I obviously can't say anything on longevity as it's only been installed for a couple of weeks but so far so good. This unit seems to be one of the cheaper spider replacements out there too as I saw ones on Rock Auto going for around double the cost, so I would definitely recommend getting this one as its working perfectly for me.

I bought a "spider" for the van down the street to clear up his running problem on an Astro van. Then this unit became available and is a fantastic and almost "SCARY" low price. Decided to order it anyway as I'd like to change out the one on MY 2003 Astro to get it running better now that I have addressed the fuel tank. Pulling this out of the box and I'd have thought I bought a Delco unit, in all ways. The unit, the packaging, and the inclusion of the important extras and this is a complete kit for the fuel injection part of the job. You still need to get your other gaskets and seals and such for the manifold job, but nothing else you need to change out the injection.
