There is a learning curve to it, and the "lids" are a little hard to figure out at first. But once I figured them out, this set worked great with UV resin and a syringe. I was able to "pin" down what I wanted inside the dice with the UV resin and UV flashlight, then fill the rest of the mold with the syringe. A caveat, though - it's made to release easily, so pinning down things you want inside the mold isn't a very solid hold, but it works well enough to keep things from floating if you are careful.

I am a beginner rein user and enjoy playing Dnd so i picked these up to start making dice and see how it goes. These molds are fairly easy to use with only a couple difficult-ish aspects. I got the package and it came in two bags, one with the lids and one with the molds themselves, the lids were on occasion difficult to match up to their mild counterparts but once you get them on the right ones they fit perfectly, I saw a lot of reviews talking about how these molds have the lids designed the wrong way, that the numbers were on the opposite side and they didn’t fit properly. The reason for this was that they were putting the lids on upside down, the thinner portion of the lid goes into a groove along the inner lining with the number facing downwards. Despite this the lids are a bit difficult to get on but not too bad. I estimated how much resin it would take to make one whole set of the regular sized die plus the large D20 and that took a little under 80ML of mixed resin (40 of resin 40 of hardener), I then thoroughly dried the molds and used a pipette to fill them, this was the second sort of difficult part, but I discovered to get the resin into as many nooks and crannies as I could I would push the pipette in as far as I could do the sprew hole is almost completely blocked and push as much as possible in so it would almost start leaking out around the lid then pulled out the pipette and dropped a couple more drops in to be sure it was completely full, along with adding a little bit on top of the lid so that if any more bubbles came out there wouldn’t be a dent around the sprew. The D4 base is rather unsteady so I would definitely recommend using something else to help it stand up, I used measuring 3 cups as you can see in the picture. I will edit when I pull out the dice and such.TL;DR Good value, easy to use, and good for beginners

Good molds, work ALOT better than expected, but after using this I want a Pressure pot because the molds don't release air bubbles easily. I had to buy a large syringe (don't buy Pipits its terrible for injecting resin that way) to get the resin in so factor that into your purchase

So, these are okish molds. Out the box none of the caps were on so we spent a good 20 mins trying to figure out which cap went to which mold. Once that was figured out I filled them. Im sure with more practice I can get the tops to make the impression needed. If you take the cap off to fill it in (so you can see the bubbles etc..) its a huge mess to get the cap on after its filled, and then to fill the rest of the way. If you leave the cap on and use a syringe or pipette to fill through the little hole, you need to be careful. One, its really easy to introduce bubbles (I don't have a pressure pot) and two, you HAVE to over fill this for that cap to make the impression. But if you over fill you just make reain leak out the sides. So I recommend taping the edges closed with painters tape and then slowly fill with a syringe. Pipettes are nice and cheap so those work too.Anyhoo. Im over all pleased, but these won't last more than a few more casts. Maybe 5 as you really have to stretch the molds to get these out. I suspect the opening will tear soon. But great for beginners. To be honest, they roll nicely. So that's a plus.Edit:These are actually really great. I got the hang of this. My tip is, fill these with the top off 3/4 of the way up. Let it solidify...what ever your resin takes so, 24 hrs to cure, at 12 hrs put the cap on, and fill the rest of the way. Make sure you over fill so theres excess resin. Wait a few mins for those bubbles to float to the top. Then flip it over so the lid is against a table or silicone mat. This will make the tops show nicely. Also, its best to trim the sprue when its still semi hard. Usually 3/4 the way thru the cure.I've made 8 sets so far and they are still going.Changed to 4 stars.Last Edit: well, it was good while it lasted. But the molds stopped holding their shape. They were letting all kinds of voids to appear despite all efforts to fix it. I tried everything. I got about 19 sets made. And only 8 were usable. The rest was tragic messes. I ended up buying another set from a different vendor and those seem to actually be better than these. They are softer and more pliable. Easier to demold and not tear.Anyhoo. Still good for beginners. I say, if you can, make your own molds. It's better in the long run.
