Got my furnace up and running, and running for the whole cycle and not kicking in and off constantly anymore.

I bought this air flow sensor as a spare part for my furnace. This inexpensive device - if it fails, your furnace will not light. Cheap insurance and easy to install if you are mechanically inclined.

a good option as a jobber replacement for a small furnace. this one tests about 0.35 in h2o. if you need something with a higher rating like 0.6 in h2o or 0.7 in h2o this is not the right part for you. but as a smaller switch it was a good fit for our application

I ordered this switch to replace the 42-24335-03 (0.3 inches water column pressure factor) switch in my Rheem Criterion II gas furnace. The replacement is rated at 0.35 inches PF, but it is close enough that it didn't cause any problems. The original switch had the wire connections on the side but the replacement has them at 90 degrees from the face of the switch which caused a slight issue when the wires were not long enough to reach the new connectors. Also, the bracket on the replacement is about half an inch long where the original bracket was about two inches long, which also caused problems. Luckily, the brackets are attached to both switches with exactly the same mounting holes so it was easy to swap the brackets to return the switch to where the existing wires would reach. I connected the powered lead (purple) to the common terminal and the other lead (brown) to the Normally Open (NO) terminal like the original switch. Because the connectors are on the face of the switch, they were a little close to the furnace faceplate when it was in place, but I was able to give the bracket a slight bend and that left enough clearance. When I closed the faceplate on the furnace, the purge fan started up immediately and after the normal delay, the burners ignited. No more jiggling the wires to get the furnace to run. (I suspect the original switch was sticking in the closed position which caused the furnace to error with the four-flash code for a problem with the low pressure switch.)

Seems to be a great replacement Furnace Vent Air Pressure Switch for my old Rheem furnace! You should know that the part sold by North America HVAC is made in the USA and looks just like the image in the photo, whereas the part sold by HVAC Pros does NOT look exactly like the picture and is made by a different company in Costa Rica. I'm sure either would work just fine with the same functional specs. But I bought this part a couple times before deciding which to install, and I stuck with the one made in the USA. It was easy to install within a few minutes and seems to have solved my issue with thermostat that would call for heat, but the furnace would never kick on. (Old pressure switch had likely stuck open.) If you're not aware how the pressure switch operates as a safety mechanism for ensuring proper ventilation of the waste furnace gases, seek out articles online. I was quoted $180-200 by a local professional HVAC company. This was a quick, easy, and cheap fix!

So far so good. Need to observe and give my final review in a yr. Connection is at the back. The metal plate was small and short. i used my old metal plate. Works great.

My furnace was acting up and not kicking on the heat from time to time. Doing some diagnostics I found it was my pressure switch (or at least I believe it is or perhaps the hose...could be either or both). This one is alot smaller then the OEM but still does the job and is fully integrated. The old unit had a separate microswitch mounted to it. Just had to remove the 2 connections and the rubber hose and replace with the new unit and a new piece of hose. Tested and all if fine now. Much cheaper doing this yourself than paying a HVAC person to do it. The only thing I noticed is that the picture appears to be different than what I got. The picture gives the appearance that the connectors are angled downwards when in fact they are horizontal which made it a little challenging to mount and then place the wires on without them hitting the slide on panel that covers up the furnace area. But a slight mod and all is well.

Worked great and a replacement for the malfunctioning switch. The product is not a direct replacement but functionally, it will work as expected. The physical configuration is slightly different... I have to reconfigure the item so I can use it and installed in my system.
