My dad has raised bed gardens and we purchased this for him and he loves it. This is not very hard dirt in the ground. This is a raised bed. It works great.

I purchased this product because of the full page ad in GRIT magazine. I used this product, because of its small size, to attempt to cultivate around some blackberry bushes. It probably works fine in sand, but it quickly overheated my contractor-quality DeWalt battery-powered drill, while cultivating in packed dirt. Consider it useful ONLY for maintaining previously cultivated dirt.Amazon promotes this product, repeatedly using the word "Tilling". Go ahead and "Till" for a minute, then let your drill cool off for an hour, to save your drill.

I actually really like this hand tiller, it is great in areas where I can not get my full size tiller. It worked great until it broke the second time I used it. While using it the cover came off and can not be put back on. The piece that the screw threads into had came off with it.

I like this and it was more powerful than I expected using my 20v Dewalt drill. My 3 main reasons for 4 instead of 5 stars are:1 - The instructions are not really clear on how to mount the drill once you get it assembled. They don't show any image of the drill in place, how to mount, etc. so you need to do some trial and error to figure it out.2 - The rubber strap that secures the drill in the rig does no go around my larger Ah Dewalt batteries so I had to get creative in how to secure the drill when I had a 9Ah batter in the drill. And I wanted the larger batter for more run time tilling a larger garden area and hard pan (note the ankle weights others recommend for harder ground really does work).3 - Once assembled and you figure out the drill mounting, it is a bit cumbersome to disconnect and reconnect. Would be great if they had some way to hold the position once you fit your drill vs. having the arms move around so much.

I bought this as we are in a new property and there is a rather large garden. Instead of turning the dirt by hand i wanted a small roto-tiller type thing, but the battery operated ones were just to expensive. I saw this and decided to give it a shot. I would like to first state that in the instructions it stated the cordless drill should be brushless, i did not see any where in the description that that was necessary. I don't believe my drill is brushless, but i put it together and gave it a shot anyway. The instructions could have been a little clearer but with a little common sense it was easy to put together. Once together I quickly did one 2 x 8 section of the garden and this ripped through the dirt like nothing. Took up all the weeds no problem. The dirt is now nice and loose and ready to mix some fertilizer and plant my stuff. Im thrilled i can use my Ryoby battery system without spending the 350 for the Ryobi roto-tiller...

This thing is legit. It has been A game changer for my landscaping clean up. Works with dewalt/ryobi battery drills, and also works great with corded drill. It is perfect for clearing weeds from the Louisiana clay we call dirt. It dislodges landscaping rocks safely and make them easy to sift out. Although not it’s intended purpose, it has been robust and easy to use. Definitely more durable than I was expecting. For the loose garden soil and compost bins it makes quick work of that material.Honestly, it’s amazing. And I was very skeptical when I bought it.

I've been using it for about a year now. I don't leave many reviews but I feel someone needs to clarify what this is. It is not intended for tilling although it will do a fair bit of it if you are patient enough. It is meant for clearing weeds between rows or around plants. The instructions weren't great and I had the torque arms upside down the first time. Thinking that they should go under the battery but they go on top of it. The machine wouldn't attach to my older brushed Ridgid drill because the drills chuck wasn't long enough. It works fine on my new brushless Craftsman drill and on my brushed Hercules. It works great for pulling weeds and mixing amendments into soft soil. I have to run my Craftsman 20v in low heat not because it needs the power but because the tines run to fast and throw dirt everywhere in high gear. I knew it wasn't a tiller but I was so surprised by how well it did mixing soil that I thought I would give it a shot and I was surprised by how well it did even though the ground was still frozen. Like any tool don't push it down let it rev up to speed and let the tool do the work. If you push down on it it will slow down and be less effective. It would take all day and lots of batteries to break up any substantial patch of new ground and it probably wouldn't be very good for the gearbox. I have been using a 2 stroke cultivator for several years and this thing completely replaced it. No more mixing fuel or pulling the starting chord a dozen times just snap a battery on the drill and off you go. It is considerably lighter as well. It has made it's rounds to the surrounding acreages and I have yet to have anyone say anything negative about it. Next spring I'm sure there will be several more of them in my area. The instructions aren't great but if you are intelligent enough to maintain a garden big enough to justify something like this then you'll get it figured out. I'm giving it 5 stars anyway because it performs way beyond what a cultivator is expected to do.

I bought this for a very specific job, to remove the dirt and grass from an overgrown block patio. The grass and dirt had grown up through the cracks over the years and it was a real mess. This cultivator chews through the growth and compacted dirt very well. I have about half of it reclaimed thanks to the Fusion cultivator!! The weather turned nasty so I will have to wait to do the rest, but this investment will give me my patio back and put life back into my backyard!! It works better than I expected it to, and I am very glad I made the purchase. Get yours today!! Oh yeah, it works great in my flower boxes too!!!
