I love making blankets in the winter but have a hard time cutting a straight line and always wondering if I cut correctly or not, so finding this cutting bord I couldn’t wait to get it. To be able to know where and how deep to cut will help me to make more blankets as well as they will look a lot nicer. This acrylic block cutting board is nice and thick with slits. I will be able to know where to cut and how deep the cut needs to be. I am so happy about making blankets again with this board

The item comes sleeved in 2 bubble wrap pockets inside a thin box for safe delivery- this was fine, however it was marked as a “set” and “do not separate”. There is only one piece. The only direction is that given on the template itself, and it’s not much. It’s unclear why one of the “tabs” is wider than the rest and why the template was design to have a very thin tab on one side.Despite, it does seem to map out roughly 6”, which is generally recommended for the corner cuts. The slots between the tabs are intended for use with a rotary cutter and are not compatible with scissors. That may limit the product’s usefulness to younger crafters who aren’t able to safely use a rotary cutter yet.You could use the guide to mark fabric for cuts with a thin piece of tailor’s chalk or just nipping the edge with a smaller pair of shears. The product is marked as somewhat fragile, understandable with the deep cuts in for the tabs (one of which is longer than the others).Overall, this product is less expensive than some others I have seen, but also seems to lack the user support others give. Probably would be more useful to crafters who have made tie blankets a few times and are looking for a sturdier guide than paper templates available online than first-time users. With an instructional video to support the template, I would give it an extra star.
