Part didn't function when installed brand new. Got same part locally and worked perfectly, had to pay a bit more but it's worth it to get a part that actually functions

This is the 2nd time I've had to replace the same relay. I did the 1st repair only 3 years ago. The original one lasted many more years, but still, for $10, what a great deal and an EASY fix.4 simple soldering joints to remove and add back.For my dryer, the repair guys would never do this repair - they'd want to replace the entire circuit board, and its not even available anymore, so basically would have to buy a new dryer!I fixed ours twice, for $10.Some repairs are really easy - always try!

This was just what I needed to accomplish a broken dryer and did not want to spend $300 for a circit board so I got on You tube (is that correct?) I'm a 74 year old women and went to looking at how to fix my dryer myself after a few videos and research I took apart the dryer and find the part that was burned and iinstead of just replacing the whole circit board I replaced the part that was burned. Bought the soldering Iron and went to work it helps having a soldering sucker! I love those funny tool words. That I bought extra too. I figure I can use it for basting the turkey for Xmas becasue it is really small and I am single and it fits just right for a Turkey breast baster it is so cute of a tool. Anyway tonight I feel I could fly to the moon will at least fix the lock on my doggie door. Love you all.

Grandpa called and said he needed another washing machine. After researching on YouTube I found he just needed to replace this part. Ordered it, and 'he' turned into 'me', but I had it changed out on the board in about 3 minutes.

I installed this myself and fixed my error code- just research it on YouTube. Watch 3 videos, select the best one, solder it in and SAVE yourself hundreds of dollars!!! It’s been working normally for months now. I have the Whirlpool Duet dryer.
