This seems to be a very good product - unfortunately, just not for our dog. It was a little, thin and floppy for our large dog as she recovered from surgery. But I think it would be perfect for a smaller dog, certainly softer and less ballon-like as compared to most donut-type collars.

this was a fantastic product. My dog is like a little Houdini. It worked great for her. She was comfortable. She did not look uncomfortable. She was able to sleep and do all the things she normally does. We take it off for eating, but it slipped right back on it wasn’t a fight, easy quick and simple and comfortable.

I used the small size with my 2.5 kg chihuahua. It was so comfortable for him that he didn't even try to remove it. It was an extra pillow while he slept and recovered from surgery.

This is a lovely soft cone perfect for my average size Maltese cross dog. I got the large size. It prevents him licking his paws so they have a chance to heal, and also decreases the parts of his body he can reach to scratch. My dog lives with an allergic skin condition so the cone has helped a lot. I would not say he likes it, but he definitely sleeps better when he is wearing it. The fact it is soft means he uses it as a pillow too! Bonus!

I have a male Golden Doodle that is about 55-60 pounds, he’s tall, but lean, he was neutered. We waited to get him neutered due to a heart murmur he has. He came home after his cardiac clearance and we he was so uncomfortable in the cone. I ordered so many different devices, body suits that were all way to small, even though I followed the weight and height guidelines. This wasn’t coming in overnight, but I was really excited to get it. I put it on him and he was comfortable, he actually liked it. It was like a pillow for him, until I saw him reaching his incision. I was trying to think of something I could add, if there was one more ring on it, it would have worked, but it didn’t. If you are buying this to prevent your dog from scratching his ears, head, this will absolutely work and they will be comfortable. Smaller dogs being neutered, I think it will work, but any large dog, one more ring on the design would have done the trick. I got a 3XL, so I sized up. I was confident that I had ordered something that would put him at ease. However, it didn’t. I ended up putting him in a pair of men’s boxer briefs and put his tail through the gap in the front. Overnight, he has to drugged and he has to wear his cone. It’s the only way to keep him from hurting himself. This is a wonderful design, but not for larger dogs that were spayed or neutered. I tried it on my daughter golden retriever to see if he could reach himself and after about 20 minutes of using this comfortable pillow, he decided it was time to self clean and he reached his privates very easily. So, know what you are buying it for and it may work, but again, not for large dogs after being neutered or spayed.I actually really love this thing and of all the devices out there, this is by far the best design. Add another ring for large dogs pls!

My 13yo standard poodle is very sweet but extremely stubborn. She had a recent surgery to have masses removed from her side and her eyelid. The plastic cone she came home from the vet with post surgery was making her so miserable, she wouldn’t sleep or even rest. I had to find an alternative and I’m so glad I did. Thank goodness for this soft cone! As soon as it arrived and I put it on her, she slept all afternoon in various positions, and most importantly she hasn’t been able to get to her side to lick or scratch at her eye. This is like having a built in pillow for her in any position she decides to lay. I think as long as you have the proper size and fit, this cone is such an excellent replacement for the plastic version. It also has a drawstring to tighten or loosen around the neck so the dog is unable to pull it off. Another benefit is she’s able to eat and drink from her bowls since it lays back away from her face instead of facing forward like the plastic cone. We might finally all get some sleep tonight. It so easy to put on and take off, super soft and comfortable. Love this cone!

My Labrador, Ollie, scratched his cornea with his dew claw necessitating a cone of shame. At the vet’s office we were offered two options, the standard plastic cone or another style that only prevented dogs from chewing at stitches but wouldn’t prevent them from scratching their face. He was to wear the cone for a minimum of 2 weeks, maybe more, depending on how the cornea healed. After just one night with the plastic cone I immediately started a search for something softer. Ollie sleeps in bed with us which meant the cone had to go.I ordered this style since it would prevent him from scratching his face when using his front paw.Overall our experience with this cone was very good. It worked to keep him from rubbing his eyes when using his front leg but was not big enough to prevent him from using his back paw.The softness and flexibility saved the day. Ollie is a Velcro dog - he’s never more than 3 feet from me - and my arms and legs were taking a beating from the plastic one.We washed it a couple of times and found the delicate cycle didn’t get it as clean as I wanted. My one suggestion is to make the big size with a third ring instead of the 2 it has or offer both. The third ring would be more protective. And due to its flexibility and softness the 3rd ring wouldn’t be a problem. The bonus of this cone is how cute Ollie looked wearing it- with his yellow fur and the pale blue of the cone he looked like a daisy!

My Stella girl has cancer and has a bunch of funky masses everywhere, the most problematic ones which are on her eyelid. She constantly wants to scratch it and chew on all of the other masses, so this collar has become part of her anatomy. She’s a mini poodle, usually about 11lbs (she’s lost a lot of weight), and an old lady- not the most agile. She has been very frail and weak, so I didn’t want a massive cone on her. This collar has been a GODSEND. I initially bought the large, which worked well at first, but she was still able to scratch her eye if she really tried, so I got the extra large. That one is PERFECT. It looks laughably huge on her, and she does struggle to walk in it if there is ANYTHING infront of her, but walking around in the house is fine. And most importantly, it keeps her from scratching her face. The collar is an adjustable drawstring style, so even though her neck is tiny, it can still adjust to fit her. She still doesn’t LOVE this thing (mostly because it prevents her from scratching all that she wants to scratch), but she sleeps quite comfortably in it. It’s become a portable pillow for her. This thing has been a life saver, and I highly recommend it.
