Troubleshooting FAQ
Guitar Isn't Connecting or Responding Properly (PS3)
If you find that your guitar's buttons aren't responding as they should, verify that you guitar is on Guitar Mode instead of Controller Mode.
The LED light on the USB dongle will change depending on the current settings.
A red light indicates that your guitar is on Guitar Mode and should work properly as a guitar while in-game.
A blue light indicates that the guitar is in controller mode and not all buttons will work as expected while in-game.
Press and hold down the Game Mode Switching Button until the light on the USB dongle switches from blue to red.
Strum Bar Not Working
If the guitar controller ends up in X-input mode, the strum bar may not work properly. To fix this, just press and hold the "PS" & "-" keys for 3 seconds until the lights on the guitar swap places.
This will get your device out of X-input mode and restore strum bar functionality
Buttons Not Working or Responding Properly
If your guitar's buttons aren't responding properly and the previous fixes didn't help, the problem could that the contact points on the device's neck and body are corroded or blocked.
Remove the neck and inspect the contact points, removing any obstructions or wiping down with alcohol or rubbing with an eraser, if needed.

Strum bar was sunken in and unresponsive. Seems like these are just very poorly produced.

at first like the others the neck buttons didn't work at all on clone hero... took the whole thing apart and everything seemed good so put it back together and tried it. Still nothing, but I was messing around with it while watching youtube seeing if I could fix it and the buttons did things. so I took it in and you have to remap the buttons on clone hero and it worked it doesnt necessarily register it as a controller but kinda as a keyboard..

The guitar would come on and sync to the Bluetooth usb but all buttons on the neck of the guitar were non-functional. Only the strum bar worked. Return started awaiting refund.
