This is a perfect breeding cone for fish. I have an active breeding pair of Angelfish. I put them in a "honeymoon" tank with this cone and sure enough, within two weeks they spawned on it, so it works. I love that it is not too big - I previously ordered another one that was huge and barely fit in the tank.

I love that the bottom is open and the top has holes so it’s easier to sink. It does need washed before putting in your tank because when I rinsed it the breeding cone had a film on it. Very nicely made.
