I got this part to replace my 30 years old Genie Screw Drive door, the old rollers are no longer in good shape and two #1 hinges were broken. I did some homework and decided not to bent the tracks, instead I lose two vertical tracks in order to replace the bottom brackets and its roller, then #1, 2 and 3 hinges and top bracket are much easier by taking out the screws with new hinges, brackets and rollers.There are two remaining parts I did not use, the two wires and all screws. The wires, I realized I am not ready for this part yet, keep it later. For the screws, my garagedoor has nice wood attached, the previous installer did an excellent job, mounting it and I like to keep these old screws instead of the machine screws with the kit.I like this kit, reasonable price and quality material, that's all we need to keep it running for years without headache.

I had one hinge break on my twenty year old garage door. these were simple to install and the door is working beautifully now. The only thing I will caution you about is the bottom hinges on both sides of the door at under load by the large spring at the top of the door, so unless you really know what you are doing, I would have a pro install that last hinge. Unbolting is while under the spring's tension is a very easy way to get yourself seriously injured.

The product fit exactly like the pieces that were being replaced. And it was easy to install. Best of all, the door is now much quieter!!!

My single door spring broke so decided to upgrade everything at the same time. I have a 40 year old 7’x10’ five panel wood door. So I needed 1-4 roller hinges, purchased 8’ kit. I purchased the cable brackets and cables separately as well as bearings, springs and latest rollers. The kit is great. Heavy duty hinges that are wider so you can fasten more in different locations. I inverted #1 hinges to better line up on my door using two of the existing screw locations. I didn’t use any screws in the kit as they are not for wood. I didn’t use the top adjustable roller bracket as my existing was superior in design.I should’ve used the rollers in the kit as they are high quality but I chose to go higher. Kit doesn’t come with the lower cable bracket so I purchased an upgrade one. Didn’t use the cables because they are for an 8’ door but would probably be ok . All in all a great kit with heavy gauge hinges equal to my old ones in metal thickness but better designed for an upgrade. Great project and recommend this kit.

This kit fit perfectly on my 7x16. Not sure what brand my garage door is and it still worked great. The door opens much quieter and smoother since the installation. The 1 issue is the cable is NOT for extension cable doors. It's only for torsion spring doors and no where in the description does it say anything about that. It just say for a 7 ft door. The cable length is quite a bit different for the torsion spring compared to the extension spring cable. It's much too short so the cable in this kit is useless. At least for the garage door. Wish I had known so buyer beware.

The quality of the product is great and it's much quieter now. The only installation problem I came across with, were the very top left and right hinges; the screw hole didn't line up. The hinges were short by roughly 1 1/2 ", it was easily solved by drilling new holes. One major concern I have, is the way the product were packages. All the hinges were loosely packed that they ended scratching each other making the product look horrible with their very visible deep scratches. In addition, it was shipped in a larger box with too much room, that the box was badly damaged. The protective plastic bag that was inflated didn't do much to protect the package. I am not too happy with it, but we are planning on getting an entirely new garage set up in a few years, so this will have to do until then.
