This worked really well. I was only able to install on one side because there was an obstruction and we had to use a piece of wood to secure it but now that it is installed my garage is locked tight! It works great!

Installed in less than five minutes, fit perfectly and the self-tapping screws went right in through both steel and polycarbonate. It’s too easy to defeat a garage door opener and anyone who will be gone for any length of time or who lives in a higher crime area will benefit from this device on their garage door. Recommended.

Recommend some heavy oil or light grease on operating mechanism. Easy to install. Drilled holes, inserted provided screws and whola an interior security lock on garage door.

These locks help secure my garage door. One would most likely be enough to properly secure my garage door, but if one works well, two should work fantastic. I have a lot of tools, fishing gear, camping gear, and hunting gear to protect.

This garage door lock does just what I bought it to do--lock a garage door from the inside. It's plenty sturdy with minimal moving parts to fail over time. The spring that keeps the sliding latch in the locked or unlocked position seems stiff enough that it shouldn't weaken over time. I'd buy this again if I need another.

Worked as designed and slides well with a good locking position spring action. Had to build up the area with a 1 inch board to make it flush with the garage roll up door and to line up with slots already in the side of the garage door panel. Seems sturdy enough and install was easy. I used longer construction screws in 4 holes to get a deeper grab into the studs and used the bolts it came with as well so a combination of both makes it a more secure and likely permanent fixture.

This is my second purchase of this lock mechanism, great build quality.Only disappointed that with both purchases of this lock - They didn't come with the self tapping screws pictured.
