Missing wheels did not install as soon as I got them. Learned a lesson.

I ordered these solely to make the door ride smoothly and quietly around the initial curve of the track when the door is raised. They accomplish this by extending above the top panel on their own set of hinges and rollers, so they travel around the curve of the track before the door itself does. Their primary purpose, however, is to allow the track to be placed a few inches closer to the ceiling in situations where there is inadequate headroom between the ceiling and the top of the door frame. Although raising the track was not my primary goal, I now intend to do that if I ever have to replace the opener. It will give me a few more inches below the open door for a taller vehicle. The quick turn brackets are sturdy and well crafted. The four included nylon rollers perform so much better than my old metal ones that I have ordered a full set.I had two installation issues. The first was the complete absence of installation instructions. I solved that by googling quick return brackets and following another brand’s instructions. These were not easy to find, but the steps are easy. The only step that is not obvious is that the hinges must be positioned on the top panel of the door where they will push firmly against the door header in new construction or against the existing weatherstrip in a retrofit when the door is closed. That step gives you a nice tight fit when the door is down. All told, i am very pleased with the result. The second installation issue was because the top strut extended to the edge of 5he door and was right where the new brackets needed to be screwed in. I removed the strut, cut a few inches off it and replaced it.

There was always a problem with the garage door hitting the ceiling so I was eager to see if this would make a difference. It did help and the nylon rollers make a difference in the noise level. One thing I did read was not to lubricate the nylon rollers. It is the same gauge metal as what was replaced. It was easy to install, but the important thing to remember is to only do one side at a time so the panel doesn't fall on you. It is important that your door is balanced so it will move up and down easily, otherwise it could overwork your opener.

I installed 6’6” Clopay garage doors on a standard single track. Realized I had low clearance so instead of buying and installing double track low clearance tracks I used these and they work perfect. Takes some time to figure out which holes work best with the rollers so you should dry fit one side first by taking off the top bracket on ONE side (so the top panel doesn’t flop down and hit you) and placing the rollers in the holes to see which work best. Truth be known I had to drill two sets of holes due to not dry fitting them first.

My husband opened this package and said Wow this is really nice and well made, heavy duty. He also installed it with no cursing involved so that should speak for itself. These rollers are so smooth compared to the old ones we had. I real upgrade. I would recommend this to anyone who's struggling with their garage door getting it open. It really improved ours.

The product was fine exactly as described, it was not right for my door but it would have worked for what it was meant for.
