It's a basic garage door lock. We replaced our door that had one and the guy didn't put it on and hauled it off so I needed a basic garage door lock. This fit the bill and works fine. It comes with its' own screws, basically everything you need is already here. It did take me some time to put this on, mostly that I needed to drill into the door to put this on. Look up some videos and it's pretty easy.

I don't know what took me so long, I have three garages and when I go on vacation I like to 'deadbolt' the main garage with my tools, that door didn't have any sort of locking mechanism so my deadbolting consisted of C-clamps on the door track... Well, I happened to be doing some work on one of the other garage doors and I saw that it had this type of locking mechanism that slid right into a slot in the track and presto, door secured... So of course I decided that I needed on for the other door, and here it is, such a simple thing but if you want to be able to 'deadbolt' your garage door from the inside it works wonders and does the job well!

My garage door didn’t have a lock so I ordered this one and installed it. It takes about five minutes to install and the screws are included. I really like having a lock for when I go away on vacation. I have a conventional garage door opener which keeps the garage door “locked” but unfortunately that can be bypassed (pull up a YouTube video for more info). The lock is quite sturdy and should help deter unwanted entry.

This was a super easy mount to the garage door. A quick alignment and it worked like a charm. The only downfall is that the lever does travel far enough out. I think that it would have been better if it would be about a half inch longer. Other than that a simple design that does the job keeping the garage door secure.

This garage door lock looks great, it’s good quality and does the job. The spring works great and I feel confident it’ll lock my garage down without flaw. But the only issue is it isn’t a direct fit for all garage doors, it takes some modifications to make it fit. Nothing crazy, just drill a few hole and make it work. Be sure to find a good area where it is easy to reach and use when wanting to lock the garage door down. It’s also nice you can put a lock or pin in the hole to really be sure it’s secured. Just a nice added bonus. Overall great little garage lock, glad to have the extra security.

I love this lock. My garage came with one but it was installed incorrectly. I got this one to feel more secure. It feels sturdy and comes with everything you need to install it. It's a simple but effective way to make sure your garage door cannot be opened - especially good when you're out of town. Just like the instructions mention: do not engage the garage opener (or the motor in any way) while this lock is engaged! When i engage this lock, I also turn off the garage opener at the wall and, for good measure, put a post it note on it reminding me that the door is locked with the deadbolt

It took about 3 minutes for me to slap this on. The self drilling screws work fine, and the construction is fine. This will function well for anyone needing a basic door lock.I will mostly use this when the power is out, and I have to open and close the door manually, but it's also a good secondary lock if you don't trust your door motor, or the security of it's emergency release. It's also a necessity if you don't have a power door.
