Seems like a great quality spring. Price was good, instructions were clear. Unfortunately my whole garage door was damaged before this arrived so I ended up sending it back and just getting the whole door replaced. The return was hassle free and if I or anyone I know ever needs a garage spring I will definitely be buying from them again

Arrived with great instructions & with all necessary equipment to complete the job. Installed perfectly. Durability: I'll let you know in 15-20 years of it holds up to expectations, 😅. Plus, a great price!

The handyman who installed the springs said these are good quality and durable products made in the USA that can last a long time. It took him less than half an hour to install and adjust the tension. Right now when I open or close the garage door, the noise is very smooth and even a lot less than before. Overall, I am happy.

These were an exact replacement for my broken springs and went on exactly as described. I did find that the recommended tension was higher than I needed, so I did need to loosen them a touch, but once properly tensioned, it was a perfect install.

Relatively easy install if you are the least bit handy. Last dozen 1/4 turns as the spring gets close to full torque require some effort and attention to the task at hand to be safe. Watch the video before ordering and then again before your install. Before helps you order the right spring both by size and wind direction.

Checked measurements, reread how to determine spring size and rotation twice. Order it, installed it. Bam the garage door is fully functional again. The supplier reached out to say that the bars for winding the spring where coming in a separate package. They both arrived the same day. The install was straight forward. 8 turns for an 8 foot tall door. Couldn't be happier. If I need garage door parts I will start my search with this supplier.

4-1/2 starsI needed a 27"-2"-1/4" spring and did not find one on Amazon. I bought a 26" unit figuring it was close enough, and it was.The instructions are incomplete so I am withholding 1/2 star. They omit a few important steps, and also, the kit includes a plastic bushing with no explanation (that I could find) as to where it goes. My old spring setup did not have a similar part, so I tossed it. Otherwise, the kit provides everything you need. Anyone with a computer or phone can watch a YouTube video that will tell you everything you need to know. This very seasoned DIY'er had never done this job before. For me the hardest part was getting the cable drums to either come off (at one end) or move enough (at the other end) to allow me to slide the rod enough to clear the end bearing. There was no clear access to tap the drum with a hammer to move it, and pry bars were of no use. So after wrestling with that for 45 minutes I took out the mounting bolts for the top bracket of the left rail and was able to "bend" the rail enough to get the bearing to clear. And then there's the "old dopey me" move- you'll love this. As I was winding the spring, I heard a couple of metallic "clunks" that I could not immediately identify, but carry on I did until I had my 28 turns. I tightened the spring hub, took off the vice grips and only then did I realize that it IS possible to wind the spring the wrong way! Doh!! I just wasn't paying close enough attention so I was pulling the bars down instead of up as required. So I unwound that mistake (literally) and then correctly wound the 28 turns. The door raised easily enough but would not quite close to fully rest on the ground. The opener might have overcome that anyway, but I decided to unwind 1/2 turn and then it worked perfectly. The End.
