Not sure why people don't change these themselves. With a little help from my wife, I had this new spring installed in no time. It works great. The one caution is to read all direction and follow them completely. I did watch a You Tube on it too and that was helpful. Great value for the money.

Revised: (spring sacked out again. Contacted seller and got immediate resolution. They were very responsive and shipped a new spring at no cost to me. This was the best customer service I have experienced in years! ). This spring was Installed as an exact replacement (id, od, wire diameter and lenght) for a 30 year old single spring overhead installation. Balanced it THREE times (a week apart) before it quit relaxing and took a set. Not sure how long it will last based on that. Most Ive done are balanced once and thats it.

Fit great, doing this myself saved me 400.00+ and was easy to do. Watched a YouTube video and in 45 minutes it was fixed.

No one I know can beat the price, the quality and ease of installation. This unit comes with a pair of winding bars making installation much safer and easier than units that do not have a winding bar shipped with the product. Be sure to watch the video on how to install this first. I remember ten years ago before the last one broke I spent hours trying without watching any videos and it took hours longer but with this and the winding bars include it was a lot easier to do. It is so good to get my garage door open/close working again only after a half a day of time installing it including the time to watch the video on safe installation.

This spring is great in quality and the parts that come with it are exceptional as well. The rods are really sturdy and the bearing is great too. They provided evening thing listed and it’s performed really well.

The description of this item shows it comes with the winding bars and the bearing, I did not get either the spring is the right item but I can’t install it without the winding rods. Plus it took a whole week to get this delivered

I sized my spring wrong. Remove the sprin and measure them first because that is the proper length second check the diameters of the spring diameter and spring wire material size. The reason if that is not right the spring will be to weak or to strong. This will affect the operation of the door. Reed on line about how it is installed or hire a overhead door installer.
