So far so good. Saved hundreds doing job myself. You need to be extremely careful when unwinding the old springs and when winding the new ones.Stay off to the left when doing left side and stay off to the right when doing right side.

Comes with tensioning tools - a positive.Same dimensions as spring it replaces but not quite the same tension - a negative.I can not adjust tension to both allow the door to fully close while also keeping it fully open while not attached to door opener. This is a symptom of choosing the wrong spring.I don't have the time to replace it now. If the other garage door spring breaks I shall look elsewhere for a replacement for both.

One of my double car garage door torsion springs broke after 18 years. Most garage door companies said they would have to order my 0.273" diameter springs as this diameter is not normally stocked. So I decided to take a chance and order my springs through amazon and install them myself. The springs were:1. Great Price - Local garage door companies couldn't match the price, and this included a pair of 1/2" winding bars, an additional $18 value.2. Great Quality - These springs looked great and had a better quality endplates, cones, spring coating, and included a metal center bushing instead of the plastic one that my old springs had.3. Great Delivery - The springs arrived at my house on the stated day.4. After watching a couple of DIY YouTube videos, I was able to remove my old springs and install my new springs myself in one day, and I'm 65 yrs. old. It wasn't easy, but if you take your time and watch the DIY videos as you go, it's doable.

The product is as described and so far works as expected. The springs I ordered are heavy and they were shipped loose in the box. The box was damaged and the bearing was missing. Luckily my old bearing was in good shape and I could reuse it.

It's kind of a pass fail thing. It either works with the garage door or it doesn't. I replaced a single spring with two of these (one red one black). Easy to install. Supplied tools worked great. I don't know what more you could ask. It is a little effort to wind up the spring, and you do need to be careful, but the end result worked as expected.
