Both filler tubes distorted and leaked. The plastic used in this product is not suitable for use with gasoline .

Just the thing to replace those stupid gas fillers. Leave it to the government to make something so simple impossible

Not very happy with these. Flimsier than original. The lip on the can side is too lightly made. It bends! The material for the washers is not good either. Gasoline SOFTENS it and leaks.

I have a big old 5 gallon plastic can. I have the HORRIBLE push-unlock stubby innately STUPID spout. I ordered real high quality solid caps (they work great for any such tank.) However, getting a quality spout here on amazon has proven - difficult. Okay - impossible. EVERYBODY is selling the same cheap crappy plastic. And yes they bend and no they don't stretch (I thought that, you might too - you would be wrong.) ANOTHER assumption I made was that the spout would fit tightly over the threaded tap. No, it doesn't. It has a gap, meaning that the spout is loose. And guess what happens if you turn your gas can inverted to fill something with it? It pours out on the ground and not in the tank. So being an exceptional mechanical genius (not) - I recognized the problem before I did it. And realized it needed a thicker gasket. Or - a second gasket. And that that is probably why he shipped two of these pieces of junk. Could have just bought decent extra gaskets. And these gaskets are "U" shaped - but I tried it - removed one from the second nozzle and put it on under the one fitted to the first nozzle - and it worked fine. We live in a Society. I'm getting a refund.

The seals for the spouts are less than desirable. They leak almost like they aren’t there. Better seals would make this a lot better product. Working on a work around for the poor seals.

In my limited use of these so far they work fine and are a huge advantage compared to the lousy safety spouts that are almost impossible to use nowadays. They do in fact not leak if the gaskets are properly inserted into the small cap and you use the correct threaded piece that attaches directly to the gas can. Do not count on being able to flex the spout itself as it is very stiff. I chose not to use the smaller vent piece that is available for use if you so choose. The gasket that is included for use with this piece is too big and would need to be shaved down or replaced with a smaller size. You can see this in my first picture with the purple arrow. I intend to store my cans with the original safety spout on them because of its sealing ability, but I will use these when I actually need to pour gas into a mower or car or the like instead of having to use a funnel which I have had to resort to because of the impossibility of getting the safety spouts to work at all most of the time.
