YOU CAN REPAIR YOUR OLD GAS CAN

Make sure you use the correct spout collar for your can as using the wrong one may cause leaks. Be sure to fit the spout gasket on the lip of the bottom of the spout- this forms a tight seal. The small spout cap may need to have molding flash removed from edge for good fit into the spout collar to seal when the spout is not desired. The drill size for the vent is not in the directions. The correct size is 19/64". Be sure to use the small gasket between the vent and the gas can for a good seal.Good fit and works as advertised- I would recommend to a friend!

I waited to late to try these. The description says fits most but there is no way to tell if it will fit til you order them. They do not fit the type of gas can in the photo. The thread pitch is incompatible. Lesson learned. Try these as soon as you get them.

Good product, seems to be made of a reasonable quality of plastic, but only received today so longevity unknown. Terrible instructions, especially as it's not immediately clear how to assemble the seal onto the spout to make it secure and seal properly. Tiny pictures in the instructions don't help. Once assembled (properly - per the photo), much easier to use than the original "safety" spout that needed 3 hands to use.

I have 2 Rubbermaid gas cans that are about 22 yrs. Old. 1 can for 4 stroke regular gas and 1 can for 2 stroke oil/gas mix. The 2 stroke spout just basically fell apart into a bunch of pieces. And nowadays to replace the whole can/spout (2, 2.5, 3 gallon) rangeIt is so expensive and the "spout"is this "New BS" Special spout blah, blah, blah. It's a pain in the butt just to put 2 stroke gas in my weed eater !! So... this set up is a 2 pack spout. Just basic spout, nothing special. Gasket, spout, screw on end cap. And new screw on vent cap !

The spout caps a joke, the ring is too small to go over the end of the spout and and the cap won’t even fit on the end of spout! The spouts will not tight up on a new or old gas can!So i paid 10 bucks for 2 vent caps and a drill bit.I wish I had read the reviews before I bought them.I’m glad I only bought the 2 pack.Don’t waste your money on them.
