There’s a list of models both Atwood and Dometic that this valve works for. This valve looked identical to my original valve on my 2003 coach furnace. The existing valve had a tiny leak that I could smell through the exhaust (when the furnace was off) I believe the valve that closes the gas off just have developed a pin hole leak….it was enough to be detectable but not enough to leak a substantial amount of propane. The furnace worked properly though but a leak is a leak, and this valve works well.

It is the Dometic OEM replacement part. Worked well for my 8531-IV-DCLP. You will need some knowledge of RV LP systems, correct installation, and do an LP leak test after installing this to succeed.

Swapped out failed 8535 - IV DCLP Atwood gas valve, and the RV heater is back to operational. Took about 30 minutes to swap part and pieces.

The actual OEM part that works on a whole bunch of older at Atwood style furnaces. Not sure about this valves use on a newer Dometic style, but it works great for the older ones

Have a 1996 Terry trailer, this season my heater would not ignite when cycling which I trouble shot to the valve. I noted that this unit was an updated design and upon installing I realized I needed a thread reducer as the outfeed to my unit was 1/4” and this unit is 3/8”. After final installation my furnace fired up first time.

I installed this valve and at first it would not open even with 12 VDC applied to both solenoids. Occasionally enough gas would come through that it would ignite momentarily and then extinguish. Removed the valve and cycled repeatedly with an external battery source and it finally began opening up fully repeatedly (just checked by blowing into inlet port). Reinstalled and it’s been working since, though it’s only been in use less than a week. I’m guessing that the part sat on the shelf so long that the solenoid valve seals seized up. The part is exactly as described though and so it got in place with no modifications required.UPDATE: First time camping valve froze again. Removed and returned. Replacement valve worked from day-one and continues to function perfectly.
