This worked on a 1991 Mercury Capri, althgough that is not the official fitment. The forums indicated it will work on some of them with a certain alternator. My friend's car was one of those. A well made belt, as are all Gates belts and hoses.

Update 12Sep2023. This belt is actually quite loud in operation, even when adjusted to proper tension. The OEM belt for the miata was a solid/standard v-belt, and not one with all of the bottom notches like this one. I am replacing this belt with an OEM for quiet operation.My alternator bolt worked its way free causing the belt to loosen and become damaged. Sourced a new bolt and replaced the belt with this one. Now all is well and functioning as it should!

Used to replace alternator belt on my Carrier Comfort Pro- belt is a little wider than the old belt and took some finagling to get on but it's a Gates belt and can take it.

I have been working on cars for 20 years now and I have tried all different brands of belts. Well let me tell you Gates belts are the only belts that I had never seen a vehicle come back for a squeal or a broken belt. So if you want to drive with confidence on the road on a long trip and not have to worry about a serpentine belt breaking on you then you might definitely want to get a Gates belt nothing beats it and I mean nothing .
