We have a 20 year old GE fridge that we don't want to put a whole bunch of repair money into so with that in mind I took a chance on ordering this valve replacement from this Amazon vendor rather than spending a lot more money on the part from GE. It's working great so far after more than a month. Easy to replace at a fraction of the cost. It took me about 15 minutes because I also replaced the water line from the valve to the freezer door because it also needed replacing. I'm very happy with this purchase.

I bought this replacement valve when the original quit working 4 years ago. It was a fraction of the price of the OEM model. 4 years later it started leaking and caused hundreds in damage. At first I thought it was leaking at one of the connection points, but the leak is from the valve body itself.
