The high quality GE Appliances Bake Element (WB44X10016 ) is at the bottom of the oven and supplies the heat for baking. The Bake Element is for electric ovens on ranges and replaces 260870, AH249350, EA249350, PS249350. Please be aware that it is recommended to use saftey equipment and to disconnect the appliance from all utilities prior to any service or repair. Please refer to your owners manual to confirm part numbers and for instructions as some repairs require a trained service professional to complete.

This element was the correct size as my broken one it replaced and it seems to perform the same, but there's a few things that leads me to believe that this is not a genuine GE Part. Firstly, nowhere on the part or the box it came in is a GE logo. Not a big deal, not all replacement parts do have this. However, the bracket that attaches to the oven was put on upside down, meaning it was a lot more difficult to install it than it was removing the old one, since you can't pivot the element out of the way anymore. Additionally, the wire connectors fit much more loosely than they did on the old element, to the point where it feels like they could fall off and cause damage to the oven or a fire. I was able to solve this by crimping the connectors with a wrench, but this is a one time fix and will require new connectors the next time I need to install a new element. If all you're looking for is a replacement part, this should suit you fine, but be warned that it is different than the original OEM one.

Installation was easy but then it only worked one time and hasn't worked since. My husband and I are very disappointed because I bake a lot.
