My husband and I purchased 2 of these headsets to replace much older headsets (different brand) that we had. In comparison, the Gearelec was so much easier to use! The sound quality is good. If I had to knit pick anything, it would be the volume could be a little higher. When driving and trying to talk to each other, I felt it was a little harder to hear clearly. However, with a suggestion from their excellent customer service team, Oliver is who I communicated with, we adjusted the earpieces to fit closer to our ears and they work very well. I would recommend these!

I have the Pactalk Slim on my Arai Quantum-X for my group riding ($199.99 at the time I purchased it). For my secondary helmet (ICON Airform - pictured), I decided it would be best to have comms on this helmet for at least phone calls to communicate delays or current location to friends/family.Not looking to spend $400.00 at the going rate for the Pactalk Slim, this Gearlec looked promising from reviews. I have to say two big positives for this thing right off the bat.1) Out of the box quality. Doesn't feel cheap. Buttons are tactile and intuitive.2) Self contained unit. No additional battery pack to install and the 3M mounting option is strong and appreciated, as not all helmets compliment hooked mounting clips (like ICON Helmets), due to wide rims so finished look is very clean and tidy. After 7 hours of constant use day one.Pros:1-Can use the system while charging. Tested on my initial ride via provided USB cable.2-Bluetooth connectivity is intelligent and simple.3-Bluetooth connectivity is very strong and clear.4-Music sounds fantastic. Switching and pausing music is much more simpler than the Pactalk Slim. I believe this is largely due to the larger, more intuitive, buttons and programmed button mapping.Accepting/Declining calls super simple. Double Tap call button to dial last number - I really appreciate this one.5-Battery shows 100% on my phone still after 7 hours of playing music and watching a full length movie playing audio through it. The device reports this also (broadcast battery level feature).6-I made multiple calls on this device. Clarity and volume levels were reported to me as clear and as though I was calling from my phone. (these calls were made stationary. not while riding).7-Can connect two phones simultaneously.8-Quickly tap Phone button to utilize siri for making calls. Works waaaaay better than "Hey Cardo" lol.Cons:1-Can only connect to one other third party for 2 way communication. So no group connectivity unless multiple riders have this device.2-Unable to listen to music and communicate simultaneously (at least while connected to third-party). I don't have two Gearlecs to test this with thoroughly. Though the manual says Phone>Communication>Music so I assume you can't do this period like Cardo.3-Unlike the clarity and volume levels from calls, connection to my Pactalk slim, audio for some reason is quieter from this device, but this device is clear and loud incoming from the Pactalk Slim. Hard to tell why that is, but I have no other comms to connect to at the moment for testing. Otherwise the microphone from this Gearlec is absolutely fine through its other uses, calls and Siri.4-Bulbus! Sticks out like a sore thumb, but looks the part at the same time. Girl is thicc!I have a scheduled ride coming up with a buddy who also has the Cardo Slimpack. I'll be testing ride connectivity and high speed clarity/noise dampening hopefully on 08/07/24 with this device against the Cardo. If that ride happens as planned, I will return here to report my experience and add it under Pros or Cons.Overall initial take - Great value to features. This product seems to standalone as its own and does as advertised, and very well. Sub $100 is priced right in my book. Only extensive use and longevity will solidify if this is a reliable product. To that question, I will update in 3-6 months.Hope this review helps.

I bought the GX4 to replace the Bluetooth unit that came with my helmet. The GX4 has far superior sound. It works great for music, phone calls and Android Auto. It is easy to install, simple to pair and the controls are easy to access even when wearing riding gloves. If you are looking for Bluetooth, look no further.

I have an old Shark RSR2 helmet, and it was easy to install. It took me a few tries to get the speakers in the right place, but I got it. The sound quality is excellent and it's really easy to connect to Bluetooth. I haven't received any calls yet, nor have I had the opportunity to connect to another unit, but I can't wait.

I purchased this as an upgrade to my Gearelec GX10. There was absolutely nothing wrong with it, it still performs great but I wanted to try out the new improved speakers and connectivity of the GX4. The GX4 did not let me down! Volume is louder and crisper and connection is much faster than the GX10. I will try out the intercom when I'm riding with my buddy next. I will update as I gather more info. For this price point, it's a definite must buy accessory for riding. It definitely helps to break up the monotony during longer rides. The install is easy and straight forward. I installed this one in a Scorpion helmet for use on my GSXR. Phone calls and music are loud and clear. Later I will check it out using the boom mic when riding my cruiser. Buy the GX4, you can't go wrong! Also, customer service is responsive and amazing!

I live in Florida so ride pretty much year round. I have a GX10 now and use it every weekend listening to music and talking to a friend that rides with me. I saw there was a upgrade with better speakers (GX4) so decided to give it a try.The sound quality and noise reduction are great! The sound quality and volume where and improvement over my GX10! The noise reduction effect is also great. The previous GX4 my friend and i could not hear the sound at 50 miles per hour, but this one allows me to easily listen to songs and talk at 70 miles per hour.It also looks pretty cool with the graffiti panel. If you are looking for a great Bluetooth headset for a decent price for motorcycle riding I would recommend it!The processor in thisdevice has a way faster response time than my Gx10 had. You do not have to hold down the buttons as long to get a response (turning off, skipping a song, pausing music etc.)Also had to contact them a few times with questions about my last headset and they went above and beyond the help.(veeeeeeeery rare for good customer service now adays!!)
