Hire an electrician and spend the money to install a dedicated plug instead of using this. After about a month of use the breaker kept going off so I stopped using this and called an electrician. He said I am lucky this thing didn't put my house on fire. It melted and also damaged the dryer outlet wires. $500 later now I have everything fixed and have a dedicated plug for my Tesla.

I didn’t need the EV split, just needed a short dongle for my dryer. Worked very well.

This is exactly what I needed! Now I can charge my Lightning without disconnecting my dryer...obviously not while the dryer is running, but it's still a lot more convenient and because it splits into a 14-30 AND a 14-50 I don't need another adapter! I wish the 14-50 lead was a little longer so I could reach it more easily without moving the dryer but you cant have it all...

Heavy gauge, well made, sturdy. A bit pricey. 14-30 for dryer and 14-50 for RV cord for EV charging. Just don't use both at same time and stay well below 30 amps on ev charger. Very tight connections when plugged into adapter. Don't plan on connecting and disconnecting a lot. Leave it hooked up until necessary to disconnect.

Needed a temp solution while my permitted 60AMP is installed. This product solved the problem. The cable operates as stated, and easy to install. I safety charge between 24 and 26 AMPS with no heat issues. After reading some of the reviews I would not recommend pushing any breaker to its stated capacity for an extended period of time.

Perfect for when you do not have a dedicate EV outlet. Being able to utilize my Dryer's 30 Amp outlet without having to constantly disconnect the dryer and connect the EV plug is amazing! Just remember to lower you charging rate to 30 or below, otherwise you can trip your breaker.

I used this for a few days temporary installation on my dryer outlet to plug my Tesla mobile charger (which uses a 50A plug) into the 30A outlet while keeping the dryer plugged in and ready. The dryer works fine this way, as did the charger when i set the EV to draw 28A max. It initially tried to pull 40 and tripped the circuit breaker. Obviously don't run them at the same time, either, your home wiring and circuit breaker won't support that.Its not cheap, but worth it to me not to have to crawl behind the dryer each time i wanted to swap.
