Among all the other great automotive uses for this long wrench already listed by other reviewers, this tool is ace on the 18mm bolts retaining the brake caliper carrier on the rear end of an Audi (allroad in my case, but many models are similar).Upon receipt of this wrench, I was actually concerned it's too long to swing on the wheel well, but as it turned out, I had just enough room.However, the ratcheting end is too fat to slip over the lower bolts (and these are also the bolts that are hard to access with a socket and ratchet - though maybe not a low-profile socket and ratchet), so plan on using just the box end for this location.Why a wrench this long? Torque, baby! A standard length box wrench requires enormous force to crack these particular bolts (up to some taps with a mallet). With this long wrench, a good strong pull is still required, but no extraordinary effort.And more importantly, reassembly is a breeze, since I'm never going to get a torque wrench into this tight spot, and using hammer blows to tighten a bolt is poor form.Nope, instead, just snug it as tight as I can with this beastly long wrench, and I'm reasonably certain it's a tight as when I loosened it.Nice polished finish and actually offputtingly slim for its length. Nice too you have in the collection.
