Bought this to replace a New Britain 136A 2-jaw puller that I abused for 30 years. It was often the only puller that would fit in a tight spot. It finally gave up a jaw after repeatedly holding the jaws on with a chain vise-grip and mercilessly cranking on the screw. This GearWrench looks to be of similar quality, but we'll see. Screw is same 3/8-24 thread (so I can use it with old parts). Spider looks sturdy. Bolts, side-plates and jaws are beefy. Hopefully the metal is up to it. That said, I had to chase the threads in the spider because a burr at one end was trying to chew up the screw thread. That's not good. And does a small 3-jaw puller really need a giant plastic case?? Do we really need more useless plastic in the world? Ditch the case and bubble pack it so you can see the build quality... win win.

Although I have not used this yet. It seems like good quality which is expected from gearwrench. Also, the case is solid.
