Used as a rainfly/extension on a inflatable tent. This tarp was able to handle heavy winds and rain without tears and the tie down points held fast.

My bad for not reading the entire description. Tarp only. Need to buy the poles separately. Because of this I wasn't able to use it at my last camping trip.

It is nice and lightweight. Packs down nice and small, although it does suffer from the very common problem of not being able to fit back into its storage bag once used. I have to figure out how to properly fold it to get it back in.It seems like it has a lot of options of how to set it up, depending on the needs at my campsite. It comes with plenty of ropes and stakes for tying it down, though it could use a few more. I suggest investing in some nice poles and additional stakes and ropes for this tarp.

This was my first trip with the new rain fly. Ever camping trip before that it’s poured rain, I’m that lucky I guess. This year I decided to invest in some additional cover. It worked so well and drained effortlessly on its own with gravity. I was so impressed that not only was my tent totally dry, it didn’t even “feel wet” without water. Which can happen without the proper covering, the air quality was just better! I’m single so my sister helped me set it up with the separate poles that I purchased! Easy to take down as well when done with the trip!

Seemed to hold up well with light rain and moderate wind. It seems easy to puncture or tear, but held up well during our last camping trip. Long enough to cover the 4 person tent and still have enough space in the front for a covered hangout area for 4 chairs. Not 5 stars due to the QC, the grommets aren't on well on some points which looks like it will be a weak point with normal use. They're basically not centered with the ribbon sewn on. Also it's really hard to have it not slant in the middle without pulling it tight to the point it feels its going to rip. However would still recommend as this is cheaper and more versatile than a pop up canopy.

First of all, for the price, you are just getting a tarp and some cheap strings. Second, by the time you have to buy four poles and better/more guy wires, you may as well have bought a 10-12-person pop-up sun/rain shelter. I regret buying this and I can't return it now past 30 days.

used it the first time on a 4 night campout, worked great in a setup with 2x 6'6" poles, 2x 5' poles and 2x4' poles the remaining eyelets were tethered to the ground and my tent under the low side and cooking area under the high side. I kept all the lines fairly tight and no terrible winds but some 30mph gusts and all the seams look good. The underside is a silver reflective metallic which kept the direct sun tolerable as I had angled the low side to the south. I had 2 guylines at each corner, one on the others, stable in low to medium winds, 10mph consistent with occasional gusts above 20mphs

I wanted an oversized lightweight easy to pack rain tarp for over my hammock when I'm camping in the mountains.I used this product for the first time at our Arkansas colors rally this past late October had weather that was in the high 30s to the high 60s.Heavy-do every night and had a very light shower one day.Very glad I have this oversized tarp over everything as nothing got wet and it was completely dry underneath.Pack up was a little tougher than normal but after putting it up two more times since October makes it a little easier and something I've gotten used to.As a moto-camping person something has to be able to pack down small enough to fit all the gear in dry bags and strap them to a motorcycle. This may be a little large for a backpacker but it's perfect for someone Moto camping and especially packs away really small if someone is camping from a vehicle.I do not know about longevity yet but hope it will last for years.
