Replacement works as it should although the sticker was upside down like others had mentioned. My OCD kicked in and had to have it right side up so I rotated the recoil pulley upside down. I actually don’t mind the pulley on bottom left. It also appears being in that position that it will be less stress on the pulley because the cord is more in line with the pulley. Pay attention to the angle when disassembling and assembling. Thinking that my be the cause why so many fail.

Easy peezy to install. And no, I've never tore one off or had to install one. Directions helped. Generator back in to Easy pull and start.
