I love this style of ruler and I always have one on me. I've been doing more metric, and my eyes are going bad, so this dual ruler is super handy. Bought one of these many years ago but couldn't find a store that carries this. It's awesome to have a couple more at a great price. I might get more...The only negative is the back is completely blank. They could have put something useful back there. The inch ruler has fraction to decimal conversions. How about some metric to English conversions or something? Missed opportunity there, but still a great little ruler.

I'll be completely honest, I only bought this to replace a free one I received with my 3d printer. And even then, I mostly use these as a psuedo-fidget-toy. I work at a desk a lot, and even when I'm not working, I'm still usually at my computer watching stuff. Whether I'm working or enjoying a video, I like playing with random stuff in my hands. This little ruler is the PERFECT size for the random twirls/etc while also not being made of a kind of metal that's going to leave your hands smelly after its aged a bit. The free ruler I had before this one, I owned for several years. It never lost its quality or got worse in any way.But yes, its also a great handy tool to have for random measurements. You never actually realize how useful it is to always have one of these on hand until you do. Its like always having a smartphone to do calculations, etc. I grew up without one, but now its irreplaceable. This ruler isn't quite that, but its close. It's small enough to keep anywhere, and I like having it everywhere. But it stays at my desk, so I can mostly play around with it while I'm contemplating serious work or streaming a video. If you ever got one of these for free with a Lulzbot 3d printer, yes, this is that same exact one down to the way its printed on. Don't let yourself be deprived of greatness if you lost it like I did.

I really like this rule. It is accurate, well made and I like the 1/16 marking. I'm really happy that it is still made in America!

I bought this because I needed a mm ruler with markings. This not only doesn’t have the mm markings it doesn’t have the slide that it is supposed to come with. Waste of money.

These are well-made and a good value. I bought SIX to distribute between tool bags, school, shop, garage, etc. They are super light, thin and unobtrusive, so you can even carry one in your pocket-protector (that's a nerd thing), purse or "murse," or pencil cup on your bench or desk. I replaced several old ones with these, which were marked down to 1/64" graduations, which is just impossible to see or read without a magnifying glass. Those were fine, until I hit 50, but after that, they were too "cluttered."The most notable and appreciated feature is that they are not graduated beyond 1/16" inch, which just clutters the scale and makes it very difficult to read. If I were 19 again, well,... If you want to measure down to 32nds of an inch, position your mark between two 1/16" marks on the scale. If you want to measure down to 64ths of an inch,... get a caliper or micrometer. This rule has two scales, both imminently useful; the "Imperial" inch-based system and metric.Remember that if you are measuring using your eyeballs, your measurements are RELATIVE, so always use the same rule or scale throughout a given task or project. Unless you're working in an ISO 9000 shop, it won't matter if what you measure with is not withing .0001" of what the rest of the world is measuring with. That said, I did not have these calibrated, because it just doesn't matter. Again, if you have to measure smaller than a 64th of an inch, get a caliper or micrometer. Use this tool within its limitations - and the limitations of your own eyes and you will he very pleased with them.

It is a steel rule. No much to mess up. The etching is accurate and easy to read. No complaints.
