Your cart is empty.Your Vapor Pad is constructed using an expanded aluminum base. The aluminum base is coated with a hydrophillic material that absorbs water. As warm air from your furnace passes through the Vapor Pad, the water contained in the coating evaporates to provide your home with humidity. Over time, water deposits build up on the Vapor Pad, preventing warm air from passing through. If you wash the Vapor Pad in an attempt to remove the deposits, you'll also wash off the hydrophillic coating. Your humidifier is then unable to provide humidity to your home.

This GA23 pad is the correct replacement for a GeneralAire 1099LHS "legacy" flow-through humidifier. Unhelpfully the owner's manual tells you it's a 1099-20 (on p3) or a GA19 (on p7 and p8), meanwhile the separate (single-page) parts drawing says GA23. (I downloaded both documents as PDFs from GeneralAire's website.) I very nearly bought a GA19 before I realized my mistake. GA19 is too small. Measure your existing vapor pad if you don't believe me. By my measurements the GA23 is approx. 11.75 x 14 x 1.5 inches.

Replacement vapor pad for GeneralAire 1099LHS model humidifier. It can be hard to find exact same model at local building materials stores, they tend to have vapor pads with built in metal frame.If you have 1099LHS, this is the vapor pad to get.

The pads fit nicely in my humidifier. the only suggestion would be to have the edges somehow treated to slide in easier into the plastic trim.
