The Natupal generator interlock kit allow safe backfeeding of a home through a portable generator during power outages. It eliminates unsafe generator backfeeding situations that could potentially electrocute electric power company workers or destroy the generator.
Our devices will allow only one main circuit breaker to be in the ON (I) position at any time. The bracket slides between the handle of the utility main circuit breaker and the handle of the generator supply main circuit breaker.

Works wonders and easy to install! Sturdy, and fits the panel perfectly -- it was easier than I thought because the bottom piece basically curves perfectly around the protruding panel area so you don't even have to worry about it shifting. Just holding it in my hands feels premium and well-made.A couple of issues: when I say it fits "perfectly", there's a downside to it. We just happen to have our dryer breakers with a handle tie under the main breaker (see photo) and the interlock doesn't fit very well and has to be filed down a bit. Luckily, it easy to file BUT you need to buy a vice, a file, make some mess, and worry about the metal sawdust getting into places..Second issue is more of a general pitfall -- the interlock comes with a drill piece which is perfect size for the screws but you really should first use a few pilot screws, and maybe 2 or 3 just to make sure your holes are perfectly aligned. You don't want to make mistakes here, or you'll have to do more filing due to issue (1).Other than that, great product all around!

This is the first one of these locks I’ve ever used. It feels solid and includes the drillbit and the warning stickers. That’s a nice touch. The instruction include pictures and seems to be decent. I don’t have anything else to compare this to, but the price seemed to be good too.

Come to find out that this was never installed in my new home, I ended up having to purchase this and install it myself. Not only was I able to figure out how to install this, the instructions were extremely clear and very detailed on how to do so, but it was actually quite easy. This is the first time I've had to install something like this in my breaker or really anything that has to do with my breaker, but the instructions were very helpful, especially with the pictures that it included. Once this was installed, I was able to have an inspector come back out and they not only cleared my breaker but cleared other things I was trying to do. I was actually told by the home inspector that this was exactly what was needed in order to clear my breaker box.
