no amount of cold pulls and tiny needles would unclog it. doubt it's actually an e3d part.

There are trade-offs using a smaller nozzle, but the increase in resolution is pretty stunning and well worth it for detail oriented prints. You will have a higher risk of nozzle clogs, that can't be avoided. You will also have much slower print times for the same volume. Finally, your prints aren't going to be as strong structurally.*Tip: You will need to tune a few settings when swapping between this and a standard 0.4mm nozzle, mainly temp, flow percent/extruder steps, and likely nozzle offset. This can be automated within most slicers so you only have to change print profiles and nozzles and you're back to printing.

I used clone nozzles for about a year while debugging my DIY 3d printer. You can get away with a lot of cloned hardware (heat sink, heater block, extruder), but I have come to believe that nozzles (and Heat brakes) are crucial to be the real deal. Sure, you can buy 10 nozzles for the price of one Genuine e3d V6 nozzle, but do you really want to be changing them out 10+ times when you can buy one good nozzle and have it last twice as long? I think not.

Nothing like the original stuff!. You get what you pay for.I installed it on my Prusa I3 MK3s following the instruction and hot perfect prints at the first attempt.

This worked great with my prusa i3 mk3s, which is what I expected as prusa i3 ships with a E3D 0.4mm nozzle. This nozzle was worked flawlessly with everything that I have printed. Note: I have only used this sized nozzle with PLA so I cannot attest to how with worked with different materials.

I have purchased some really cheap nozzles previously and while I didn't have jamming or blobbing issues the prints just did not have the same quality as these OEM E3D nozzles. Most of my prints are PLA, PETG, ABS, and TPU, so the brass lasts a long time. For me, the appearance of the print justifies the extra expense.

Swapped out the default 0.40mm default nozzle on my Prusa i3 MK3. this went in great, printed up a couple of pieces and swapped back out, nice and smooth. I am quite happy with the quality and quick delivery of this this item.
