That is a plastic piece, is not a metal, if I now that I put any plastic water pipe.

Tracking down the correct part can sometimes be difficult with so many variations. It was a gamble to buy this guide, however at a reasonable price I was willing to give it a go. On a 2005 Silverado 1500 regular cab with 6'5" bed I needed to cut about 1 3/4" off the tube (which was easily done) to fit this. You'll need to install the tube before finally tightening down the winch assembly bolt as it is a snug fit. This makes it harder to finish that bolt but it can be done. I'm very happy with the result.
