These are NOT 16 gallon trash bags. They are really thin and don’t touch the bottom of my 16 gallon trash bin, so when I fill it will garbage the top of the bag fall in. TERRIBLE PRODUCT, they lied about the capacity. They are so thin they rip easily.

Several months ago, I bought a new trash can from Ikea. I never imagined my 13 Fallon trash bags would not fit, but they didn't. The top of the can is real wide, so I had to overstretch the bag or even split it st a corner. Not good. So I went in search of bigger bags and found these. Previous reviews claimed the bags to be square and gave them a 1 star rating. From what I read, the reviews were not about the product, but the reviewers themselves and their inability to read a product description. These Genuine Joe bags are 16 gallon bags, which is not much bigger than a 13 Fallon bag. The size of the bag is listed in the description, and is CLEARLY not much bigger than a 13 gal bag. I measured the top opening of the Ikea can I have and thought these may fit. They fit better than the 13 gallon bags, but are still a bit small for the top. They are not square, as some claim. The bag itself seems constable to most trash bags on the market. I not had any issue with break through or leakage or anything. While the bags were smaller than what I want, I kept them and am using them (I have other trash cans in the house -laundry room and garage - that accommodate this bag.

Not at all useful! i ordered 15gallon bags as 13 keep sinking into our trash can, with the hope that they would be able to fit the length of normal trash can without sinking in when weight is placed in can.However these are WIDER than normal 13gallon bags and just as short - result, now they are too loose to slide over top to stay in place and sink even within weight in the bottom of the can!Terrible design!

The bags say they are 16 gallon bags, but they are the same 13 gallon bags everyone else has, but at almost .25 more per bag.

We have a kitchen trash can that exceeds the size of a typical 13 gallon bag. Put something in that is not light and the 13 gallon bag will be pulled into the can. I took measurements of our can and calculated that it could hold 15.6 gallons. I was pleased to find the Genuine Joe 01229 Drawstring Trash Can Liners thinking this would solve our problem with our oversize can. I must admit the only liner measurements I took into account were the 24 inch length and that it was supposedly a 16 gallon bag. Our can is 23 inches deep so I thought this would work. When I received the bags today, I promptly put one in. It still seemed to not be large enough. I compared the Genuine Joe 01229 Drawstring Trash Can Liner to the . The Genuine Joe 01229 Drawstring Trash Can Liner appeared to be smaller in size than the 13 gallon bag. I checked the measurements on the Kirkland Signature. Their 13 gallon bag is 24 inches by 27 inches. The point is, don't buy this bag if you're thinking you will get a liner that is bigger than the popular 13 gallon kitchen bag.
