I bought it to replace my husband’s old piano bench. It was falling apart on the top, but it was not leather. I hope this will last longer since it has a leather seat. Also, it has a compartment to store music. I expected the compartment to have more storage. It looks quite great in front of the Steinway piano.

I have been very pleased with the quality of the adjustable height bench. The wood tone matches my piano closely enough to not be noticeable and the tufted leather bench is quite comfortable. Being able to raise the seat has made playing more enjoyable and so much easier on my neck.

I've had this bench for 4 months, using it daily. It's wonderfully sturdy and comfortable. The storage space is nice but not very deep. I can fit about 5-6 medium size music books.Happy to say I have played duets on it with my 11 year-old granddaughter and it performed admirably.My one complaint is if I lean heavily to one side or the other (in order to reach piano keys), the bench will squeak/creak. I've written the manufacturer and they recommend spraying on some WD-40 on the mechanism under the seat. I tried this multiple times, but it still squeaks a bit. But I can live with it, I've decided. It's a really nice bench!

Although this is a great bench, and I gave it five stars, I must warn you about the color. First, it is not the color of a walnut (if that's what the color "walnut" is supposed to be like). It is more of a reddish brown. So it doesn't quite match my piano that is more of a regular brown color, but it still doesn't look horrible there if you don't need it to look perfect. Second, there are four or five shades of brown/reddish-brown on the bench. The wooden legs are a different color (or shade) than the strip of wood going around the bottom of the bench, which is a different color than the strip of leather above it, which is a different color than the seating area of the bench. Also, the wooden height adjustment knobs are either a fifth color or they match with the legs. Again, though, this doesn't make the bench look horrible, as the different shades are somewhat close to each other.Despite all of this, I think it's a great bench. I weighed over 400 lbs. when I got it, and it supported me very well, and was also very comfortable. Although there are multiple shades of color on it, it is still a nice looking bench. I would bet that if you were ordering black, there would be less of a color variation problem.Some people have complained that the storage area when you open the bench is shallow. This is true, but the lid is hollowed out, so you can stack books above the shallow area, helping to make up for how shallow it is. Also, like many people have said, this bench is not big enough for two people. It is a very nice size for one though; even a 400 lb. adult male.So, if you're OK with the color inconsistencies, this is an excellent bench for a good price, and I see why it has earned a high user-review rating on Amazon.

I looked for a piano bench for a while (checking out other web sites and reading reviews of other benches)before deciding to purchase this one as I knew I wouldn't purchase another bench for a very long time. I had a non-padded wooden bench and my near 50 year old tush just couldn't take the hardness anymore! I've had this bench for 2 weeks and I couldn't be happier!This bench is easy and super fast to assemble. No tools are needed and all that is required is to place the legs in the right place then tighten the nuts and bolts. The color was exactly as pictured in the photograph and the leather looks very nice. Yes, I would have loved a more cushy or thicker pad, but this one is really quite wonderful and I'm so thrilled it matches my 40 year old Wurlitzer perfectly.The bench is advertized as a "duet" size, but it really is, as one reviewer mentioned, just slightly oversized. Two adults will not fit comfortably on this bench unless they're pretty small people. However, it's the perfect size for one adult. I think extremely heavy people may have problems with this bench, but I'm over 200lbs and it has held up well to my weight and movement so far.When the bench is adjusted, no hardware can be seen, but the gap is. The bench cover does not cover the gap when the bench is adjusted. I don't particularly like the gap, but I can live with it. In terms of the knobs, they work like a charm...I've not had any problems with adjusting the knobs.Shipping was very fast for this product and it came without any scratches, missing parts or any type of damage to the top seat. I love the look and feel of this bench and would recommend it to anyone looking for a really nice, but affordable piano bench!
