This thing is awesomeThis should've came factory on these trucks.The install was pretty easy, the only thing was under the passenger side where the grommet goes. There was a gromet already with a cable going through it. I just cut the grommet in half to get both cables in and siliconed the outside (just to be safe). Even though the description says 19+. This will work on 14-21 crew max or double cab As long as you don't have the extra super long bedOther than that it's great.

There are alternative products on the market to tie the tailgate lock function into the electronic locks, but this is an OEM harness, and is easy to install. It would have been helpful if the dealer included the instructions with the parts, but not necessary as they're online if you know what to look for. This is the 2nd item I have purchased for my 2019 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro from this seller, and will continue to use them as needed, despite being in SW Florida, and me living in Oregon.

Kit is OEM and includes everything needed. Install was simple after watching a video online. Working well several months after installation. Not super noisy but can be heard locking (which is prefer so I know it worked).

There are certain things where price is the deciding factor. This is not one of them. If you want factory quality, connections, performance, compatibility & durability OEM is the way to go. Easy installation.

This kit fit perfectly for my 2019 Tundra. There were questions to whether it did or not. Plenty of zip ties included, and the instructions were fairly easy to follow. It's plug and play so you don't need to worry about splicing any wires. There are several videos out there that may make things a little more clear, but overall an easy install without the videos. Everything functions as it should after the install.

This is a great kit. Comes with everything you need. You’ll have zip ties left over. The harness supplied is plug and play and also comes with the grommet you will need to replace the one you’ll have to pull out of the floorboard. Only problem I had was that the retainer clip for the actuator would not stay on. It kept popping off. I finally got it to stay on, but kind of doubt it will stay on. Fortunately, the actuator is stable enough when tightened down that I don’t think it will matter if the retainer clip pops off. It took me about two hours, but I really took my time. I have running boards, so that made it more difficult. If I had gained two more pounds I could not have gotten under my truck to do it lol. This item arrived faster than anticipated. My husband was really excited to install it. It’s very annoying that you pay so much for a new Tundra and then get one freakin’ key to unlock the tailgate. The tailgate should come standard with the same automatic lock/unlock like all the rest of the doors, in my opinion. Anyway, the installation went much faster than we thought it would. The instructions that come with it could definitely be better. We found a video on YouTube that we found to be extremely helpful. As the guy in the video said, it looks like the person who made the instructions did so with a flip phone 🤣. Installation was relatively painless. The noise other reviewers complain about really isn’t that loud at all. We love being able to lock and unlock the tailgate with the touch feature like the rest of the doors. If you’re on the fence, just go for it. You won’t regret it.

This product was perfect OEM fit for my 2021 Tundra CrewMax. Everything needed came in the box and the wiring harnesses were better quality than some of the generic locking tailgate options I’ve seen.Installation instructions can seem a bit overwhelming at first but if you take your time and follow the instructions it really is pretty easy. Be prepared to spend a good amount of time on your back while running the external harness along the frame and watch your hands because all the plates are sharp underneath!Install took about 2 hours but I went very carefully and worked slow to not break any plastics etc.Now I don’t have to worry about locking the tailgate which is especially nice with the smart key system!
