Used for 2005 highlander. Like someone else mentioned, I had also dropped it in between the light case and metal frame. I eventually took it out but you must remove the taillight and with a sort of hook device reace down and puul it up.

My 2003 Toyota Highlander had one bad brake light socket that just would not make a good connection to work. I purchased this socket, installed it into the brake light assembly, heard a very small click when twisting the socket into place, pushed the brake petal and the light came on.
