I was pleased to see that Gerber still existed since the part I was replacing was Gerber probably 30 years old. The new part was beautifly made and wrapped. It was so simple to install that even I could install it. That is not to say it fits every tub in the world. It does not purport to be universal. It does not come with screws so save your old screws.

The unit fits well into the pipe and was easy to turn the rod to adjust the length for water stoppage and draining. Reuse your original mounting screws.

I thought this was going to work. The bell was the right size, but it still would not close down far enough to do the intented job. We even have a scope. Who knew there is at least 3 sizes of these things.I sent it back for a refund.

Had the same experiences as many other reviews. This worked perfectly for my old tub. Keep your screws or plan to buy new ones, as this does not come with screws.Ordered a more popular one on Amazon and one from Lowe's. Both were good in quality but slightly too large (bells) or long.

After looking at Home Depot and Amazon I decided after reading many reviews on here that this is the fix I needed. I unscrewed the old drain linkage ( save your screws) and slid the new Gerber one in ....I didnt have to adjust anything -- perfect fit!! .... After looking at my almost 25 year old drain linkage I noticed a "pin" was missing from the spring that attached it to the linkage .... "SOOO thats what was wrong !!" lol Highly recommend this Gerber brand as this appears to be a solid FIX! Thanks

This is a Gerber replacement part, made in China, that fit my existing Gerber drain perfectly. One note: for some reason the package does not come with the attachment screws, so buy new or plan to clean up your old ones.
