I’ve been a Gibraltar user for years. I’ve always bought the most expensive high end products. This stand was a nice surprise for its sturdiness. Would buy again.

This is not bad for a medium weight stand, sturdy enough and light enough for easy transport.

This Gibraltar cymbal stand is much like the early standard Ludwig -Atlas stands with the flat base. It has the benefit of light weight and is sturdy but easy to pack. The build and finish quality is also good. The only reason I returned it is because I purchased the Gibraltar 6713 stand which is super stable and holds up to 3 cymbals. I'm just trying to simplify and declutter my drum set.

I like this stand a lot. It looks great, and functions well holding up a smaller crash cymbal. I'm using it in straight mode right now, not using the boom, and I really like that you can go either way with this stand. I also really like how light weight the stand is, and the small tubes and single-braced legs. It makes it easier to move these around, and if you have a giant bag full of heavy stands to lug around, you know what I'm talking about. The only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5, is that the stands should have memory locks, especially since these stands cost as much as more middle or heavy-weight versions. Memory locks just make setup and breakdown quicker and easier. If they add those, this is a 5-star stand. This one joins my flat base snare stand, and likely won't be my last flat addition from the Gibraltar series.Edit Feb 2020: The Ludwig Atlas Classic stand has reversible rubber feet. Then you can have two flat-base stands next to each other and the legs can overlap. That is not the case with this version. If you need two of these stands next to each other, you may want to opt for the Atlas.

Bought one of these great flat base stands by Gibraltar recently. I love it. All Gibraltar products I have bought have been sturdy and long lasting. The flat base makes things look clean at the front of the kit.
