Love the stand. Was a little surprised that it was so heavy, but that makes sense for it to accommodate any type of djembe. Took it out of the box and it was pretty easy to set up. As I was playing it on the stand, it was barely moving and it has a couple adjustments to make sure your djembe is really secure. Really happy with my purchase.

The top drum clamp is NOT drilled to sit at 90 degrees to the stand and it is NOT adjustable. It is held in place with pins. I have not tried it with a drum yet, which will probably work despite the crappy factory assembly. Disappointed ... I expected better for $250.00.

I am using this stand to hold a Latin Percussion djembe. I need it to be on a stand and to play it with one hand because I need to play other percussion with the other hand. The stand itself is very versatile, and very sturdy. The drum can be positioned in whatever way I need it. That being said, the only way I could mount the LP djembe was to remove the head and tensioning hardware, install the clamp of the stand around the top of the drum, and reinstall head and hardware. But drummers are also engineers, aren’t we? Success!

Used a couple times and very nice. Able to adjust to what I need. Is heavy so not one to move around much.

Great stand! Super strong and stable. But . . . it does NOT fit my giant 18" Remo djembe (too little for clamp arm to fit around it) and it does not fit any of my normal sized doumbeks (distance between bottom hook and clamping arms, adjusted as close together as possible, is too long to fit the doumbeks).Does fit all my other drums though . . .14" rope tuned djembe, 12" key tuned djembe, Tycoon Klong Yao, large sized clay body and goat skin head doholla (a super-sized bass doumbek). Can even hold on to some of my frame drums (Tar, Daff, Bendir, Ocean , etc) up to about 16-18" head size depending on frame thickness. Can't hold my 22" Daira though - arms don't open up wide enough. And of course no good for a Riq because the jingles stick out where the clamp arms need to go.Still, plenty versatile for many sized and types of hand drums. No regrets!

Love it! Read the reviews first before buying. I sit on a cajon to play djembe and I've been able to dial the height adjustment in to get my 24" high djembe to position correctly. The stand is beefy and heavy ( your biceps will get a workout lugging it around) but that's what ya need to get your djembe (that has to sit at an angle) to position correctly and feel secure! Don't waste your money on lighter stands or different versions of this model. Cut to the chase and buy this quality stand. Easy to use. Fast set up ( once you get the inital setup dialed in...I just leave the tripod legs always spread out and the angled arm always in the same position so it's ready to set my djembe in and play. That way I don't waste time always re-setting the angle. I only fold down the "claw" part that holds the djembe near the top. Makes for easier/quicker transport). Super satisfied!

I love the stand and how well it holds my djembe. I'm a hard hitter and I certainly don't knock it over, but it does wobble a bit when I hit it.It's a great stand and I believe it's one of the best, if not the best djembe stand you can buy. But I wish it had a heavier and lower center of gravity so it didn't wobble at all.It does have a multitude of adjustments so I could adjust where the center of gravity sits, and all sorts of angles, and heights.Another reviewer mentioned you can't get it very low, if you intend to sit while using it. I can speak against that.It depends a little on how tall the djembe is, but I can adjust it so the top support is no more than about 18" off the ground. That's pretty low! Maybe the other reviewer was not thinking in depth about the various ways you could adjust it to lower the height of the drum. One big note: IT DOES NOT COME WITH A DRUM KEY, but it does have an adjustment that would require one. Keep that in mind when purchasing. I don't have a drum key so luckily I had my multitool on me and just used pliers.Still glad I purchased it, and I would buy it again and I do recommend it. If I had bought a cheaper one I would probably be regretting and it wishing I had gotten this one. Hope this helps.
