These things are great if you're looking for a lot of click and head protection. They are not like the thin little pads that come with some kick heads. They have a relatively thick and hard center pad, which really brings out a strong attack. It also serves to help the head last a lot longer.

I initially liked the sound of this. It didn't sound as clicky as the Danmar pads I used in the past (which also fall apart.) I did clean the head with alcohol before applying but the adhesive came off probably within a week or so. I re-glued it with some super glue and it did hold until the layers started coming apart. It finally disintegrated about a month after applying it. After it came apart, I noticed the internal hard pad is not metal as advertised but some kind of plastic. I don't appreciate the false advertising.

The adhesive only lasted 1 month. They fell off and can't be put back on.

Recently I added Evans Sound off mesh heads to my Gretsch Acoustic Set. Not satisfied with the head pedal response I began changing up me bass drum pedal batter. I tried 3 different BDB’s, Still not satisfied I began searching in another direction for better drum pedal response..... I choose adding the Gibraltar SC-GCP Bass Drum Click Pad. Adding the BDCP not only added protection to my mesh bass drum head, it provided me with quicker pedal response and added a nice click sound to my batter surface. Yes I recommend this product, Gibraltar also sells this product for double bass pedal users.

F ckkk the sound on this is so pleasing. I mean not hard to explain really gives a great clicking sound. I love the sound of the attack on the bass head. When i hit it, it almost give a snarish effect. Before i bought these i put a piece of metal behind a sticker i had placed on the center of the bass head that gave a similar sound but if you like how that hack sounds please buy these. Its affordable and really alters and if you like this metal rock type bass sound its an improvement for any kit!
