very cheaply made. I had to use the original connector when replacing the battery as this new one did not connect

This provides the connection between battery and motherboard, and has nothing to do battery life. The OEM cable is only good for a couple of battery changes making this cable a necessity. It is a perfect replacement size fit, and function.

What can I say? It's a cable, but it fit perfectly and appears to work just fine.Be sure that you properly seat the cable into the battery body (no brainer to seat the cable into the system board). There are some raised ribs on the cable and corresponding grooves in the battery connection to make sure you orient the cable to right way (matches to connectors properly). If you don't, the computer cannot "see" the battery and will protest that tit is not installed.

The connectors on this cord fit the motherboard and battery of the Latitude 7480, however the length is not correct. I believe it would work if it was the proper length. I work in IT, so I am sure I routed the cable properly, and you can see in the image the difference in length between the original cable on the left and this cable on the right.

The length of this cable is approx 3/4" too long. It's really hard to route the cable in a way to take up the extra length and still get the cover installed. If you try to push the cable back in, it will disconnect from the battery. took me about 40 minutes to finally route the cable the way it would not disconnect and allow the cover to close properly. my new battery charges just fine with this cable ( silly me threw away the old battery with the original cable thinking it was one assembly)
