Bought it used at my local camera store. Used to have a older G1278M series Gitzo ball head with a Wimberly acra swiss quick release clamp so I can put on a Wimberly sidekick so that I can mount a Nikon 200-400 f/4 zoom lens & a D500 with battery grip. My older Gitzo ball head would creep so I purchased the GH3382QD for a more solid tripod head. It matches perfectly for an older G1257 series graphite tripod. Bottom line this ball head is up for the job for my 9-10 lb camera setup including a 1.4 tele-converter. I found out recently that during a photo shoot of the blue angels, the rotation stuttered slightly, after spraying some WD40 it became smoother for panning. You can't go wrong with the ball head very sturdy and would take any camera system load you can put onto the tripod head.

Outstanding product or could you say That has not been said about Gitzo..I had my doubts with products coming from China, but I must say as long as you have patience it always pays off you get things cheaper👍🏼✨

Excelente calidad, funcionalidad y diseño como todo lo de Gitzo. Montado sobre un trípode Gitzo que tiene más de 10 años y que sigue pareciendo nuevo y funcionando a la perfección .El precio también en línea con cualquiera de sus productos pero que con el uso que vas a poder dar a lo largo del tiempo, se amortiza y al final te sale barato

Dopo una vita passata con Manfrotto (e mi son sempre trovato alla grande) e dopo aver provato il Befree (orribile) ho finalmente trovato il mio cavalletto perfetto per le lunghe camminate in montagna

Verarbeitung: Ohne zu übertreiben habe ich selten ein Produkt gesehen, das so solide verarbeitet wurde. Ich kann mir gut vorstellen, dass dieser Kugelkopf mich überdauern wird! Alles, wirklich alles ist hier aus Metall, außer der Gummierung und einer dünnen Schicht beim Kugelkopf. Hier wurden nur hochwertige Materialien verwendet.Tragkraft: Habe mir diesen Kopf gekauft, da ich von Kompaktkamera auf Vollformat umgestiegen bin mit entsprechend schweren Objektiven. Außer wirklich große Teleobjektive sollte hier alles kein Problem sein.Bedienbarkeit: Die Mechanik ist grundsolide, alles funktioniert wie gewünscht. Die Schnellwechselplatte ist relativ klein. Jemand mit dicken Fingern wird Probleme haben sie mit den Fingern an der Kamera zu befestigen. In diesem Fall einfach einen Schraubenzieher verwenden. Generell ist die Platte wie gesagt eher klein, aber man kann größere Platten nach Wunsch hinzukaufen.Reinigung: Sehr wichtig! Generell sollte man Sand und ähnliches bei Kugelköpfen vermeiden. Daher ist eine Demontage zur Reinigung wichtig. Bei billigen Köpfen geht das nicht. Hier jedoch ist alles verschraubt. Mit den beiliegenden Imbusschlüsseln kann man hier einfach und schnell das Produkt öffnen.Optik: Geschmacksache! Mir gefällt das Design gut.Preis: Happig! Ich habe den Kopf durch ein Sonderangebot günstiger bekommen, aber generell bin ich bereit, mehr zu investieren, wenn das Produkt eine lange Nutzungsdauer verspricht. Hier hat man wirklich lange Freude daran.

Simple and effective and is light weight but suitable for my canon 5d. Only issue is the Swiss arc plate. It works with my other tripod but plate from induro doesn't work with the Gitzo
