Your cart is empty.This armor shield floor pad provides an important protective layer between a vinyl swimming pool liner and it's sand or soil base. Unlike traditional foam padding, armor shield is a polypropylene geotextile material that prevents cuts and punctures to the vinyl liner caused by rocks, roots, grass and even glass. Armor shield also reduces convective heat loss and provides a comfortable floor pad for tired feet. Above ground liner is installed with an armor shield floor pad. Available in round shape and 21-feet diameter.

Works but I miss perfect pool bottom product that was more pvc plastic. This is like thick felt hard to hold still during liner installation

Originally ordered this because we had a 20’ pool also on order. Got tired of waiting for the pool and canceled it and bought a smaller one from a local store. So it’s bigger than I needed but decided to use it anyways and it’s actually nice to cover up some of the sand around the pool. It’s a soft material similar to what would be used as a weed blocker in a flowerbed. It was easy to lay out and I bought some tent stakes to hold it all down at the edges. Once the pool was set up on top of it it was easier to slide into position and get the wrinkles out as we filled the pool. So far we are happy with it and if we get a bigger pool in a year or so as the kids grow we’re all set.

It is not just felt, its a poly weave, very durable. I just put up Intex xtr ultra pool w 2 " of sand on ground, tarp over sand, then this felt pad right under pool. made sliding pool easy to center and have a feeling, will def. help to keep bottom stay soft for feet for years to come.

I'm on my 3RD pool build and a few liner replacements. I picked this because the new location had so much stone I wanted to protect the liner. I was amazed at how much this helped install the liner. It made getting the creases out much easier than when the liner directly contacted the sand. It came out great for this reason!I've seen other reviews about this product making the bottom feel soft or cushioned. I would not completely agree with that, but it is a noticeable difference from hardpacked sand. Looking forward to seeing how it feels a few years into it.

Used this under a 20' intex pool. The first three years I put a half ton of sand and every year I would have a few punctures from stones that were missed. after a year of non-use, the area had grassed over so I just bought this and put it right on top of the grass. I cleared out any obvious debris, but that is all. Works great. no leaks. It is thin, but I think it is a pretty tough material. And much easier to put down,take up and store than a sand bed.

This pad worked very well! It's protected the pool from weeds, rocks, etc. One thing we were thrilled to discover was that the pad actually made the pool easier to set up. It slid easily on the pad when we had to turn the pool to get it in the right position, and it was MUCH easier to get the wrinkles out of the bottom. We set up a pool (Walmart type) every year, and usually no matter how hard we work, there's always one large wrinkle at least. This year with the pad, we have no large wrinkles, and just a couple tiny ones. We are so happy that we found this pad!
