It came used and heavily damaged; the bag was already ripped open and taped back together to get shipped to me. Very unsatisfied. There is already grease and dirt all over it right out of the packaging. Most of the screws are missing; I'm not even sure how it could get this damaged and be reasonable to send to someone. unacceptable

This is a good upgrade for the Slash. The plastic transmission housing gets soft when running in hot weather and things start to warp. Use blue lock tite and the screws won't back out.

Used gearbox on a custom traxxas bandit build. The fit and finished is identical as the HR gear box. The gear box assembles smoothly just like a stock gear box. Shims were used on either side of the gears to ensure limited end play. (My stock gear box was already setup this way - no change was needed) new shims can be purchased cheaply from traxxas / amazon if required.The bumper attachment point could be improved however I have not bent or broken anything yet.Keep in mind this product does require knowledge of disassembling your existing gear box. There are a ton of YouTube videos that explain the process. The process is quite simple and assembles close to the oem gear box with the addition of the motor mount plate and changed bumper attachment points.Great product. Would purchase again.

Upgraded everything else, might as well for the price. Only thing about it I’m not huge on is the rear bumper bar mounting. Could use more than 1 screw. I removed it all together

Cases fit right together. Gears go in.. May need to shim your gears I had to but was expecting that. Threads are good. Seems nice and solid.. Only bad is stock bumper may need to be modded to install it.. I'm doing a3d printed motor guard so no biggy for me.... It's a after market part it won't assemble like a stock part for people that never took a rc apart before.

Great fit, good workmanship, gave it a 4 because no instructions included.Plenty of internet videos and is recommended you see them more than once.Instructions should be included for the benefit of first timers.Had to countersink deeper the screw holes under the clutch fan to stop the blades from rubbing agains the screw heads.
