Gears seem smooth enough but the housing is a poor design. Don't buy this if you plan to use an aftermarket motor mount as this housing has the mount integrated. The gears are very sloppily machined so we will see on durability long term.

I used this as a replacement on a SCX24 and it fits perfectly. It's a nice looking upgrade and it works well.
